50 Caliber Customs ORV parts need ordering

So guys, this was kicked off the main page earlier. I was told it would be better suited here, so Here Goes. I certainly hope this can stay here and be seen by the many folks who would be after these type of parts for their runners and their shelfers and such.

I will cut and paste the original post here:

Hello Tam Folks, I wanted to take a moment before I go on vacation to let you know that Don over at 50 Caliber Customs has been working on getting to the machine shop to make a fresh batch of parts for the ORV chassis. He has be so gracious to extend to us TC folks a pricing schedule that I believe you will find BETTER than his own website as last as I knew. I know the pricing is better than his ebay site which has to be 'padded' to account for all the fees they collect. It was my experience when I bought from him that his prices run cheaper on his website and the shipping remains very near what is shown on eBay as well, that is for the USA. It is also to my experience that his attention to detail is EXTREMELY HIGH. He sold me a blemished set of J parts and I have to say, I can't find anything wrong with them. I also own parts from GPM and Tech I believe that are also alu, so with the metal there is some machine marks to be expected on certain surfaces, but THAT IS ONLY MY OPINION

Now, onto the mail I got from Don:

I have had several TC members in contact with me over a period of time about these parts and feel the intrest is there for this final run, which is why I am sending this to the TC community first.

We have been in negotiations with the machine shop we use here in Utah to produce our ORV parts. Our goal is to have one final release of ALL ORV parts that have been drawn, front arms, J parts, steering blocks, G1 part, mid body shock mount, motor covers, servo horn, motor mount, and yes of course the rear arms.

In order to make this work we need to pull together and raise 40% up front to unleash this process, the manufacturer has been kind enough to allow us 60% credit.

The plan is to collect this money by July 14th if we do not achieve this amount production will not begin and money will be refunded 100% or if we meet the goal with some parts not others we will produce those items, and issue refunds for the rest. After we reach our goal production will begin, it will take 3-5 weeks for completion barring any unforseen problems and the shipping to begin, I will post every 3-4 days our status towards making this happen. I will be revamping my website (which is not working for purchases) to keep everyone updated http://50calibercustoms.com so please keep yourself updated there!
This is the price list:
Front arms 33.00 per set
G1 Brace 15.00 each
J parts 30.00 a pair
Mid Body shock mounts 21.00 a pair
Motor cover 15.00 each
Steering servo horn 10.50 each
Steering blocks 33.00 a pair
Rear arms 60.00
Motor mount 25.00 each

These are the rock bottom prices, I am extending to Tamiya Club Members.
This is it, there will be no more production runs for these parts again, we have to continue forward and get things done for all the other great RC cars out there!

This is it everyone, I am putting YOU IN CHARGE! You decide what goes into production this month and what does not!

Please if you have any questions please contact me directly at: bmg50cal@hotmail.com

OKAY, CHRIS BACK HERE,
I cannot stress how much that he has too little time on his hands at the moment to commit to joining TC for the purpose of promoting his products. I feel that is where I could step in and help him, but more importantly I am trying to help all of us here at TC when we run our cars or for that bling factor for the shelf.

Again, if someone on the mod team feels this isn't the right way to go about this, let me know, but I am doing this for all the TC folks that run the ORV chassis. Don has plans in the future for more chassis and other parts, but since that is not all drawn and ready, I won't expand on that.

I don't have much else to say other than contact Don directly as he has mentioned and we will see if we can't get this baby off the ground and tell him CRASH CRAMER sent you, it will let him know the source is from TC and the price should be what he has quoted.

Hey there guys, in another attempt for funding, Don over at 50 cal customs has drawn up his proposal for a site called Kickstarter. Have a look via this link, you will get a chance to SEE what his parts will look like for your ORV chassis, PLUS you will see his drawings for the new parts like motor mount and steering knuckles as well. I hope he can get this ball rolling so we can all buy them from him, the initial start up money is what he doesn't have right now.
