Hi everybody

I'm restoring a boomerang and i need to use shorter dogbones (it's not a restore, it's a rebuild for my son...)

1) The boomerang dogbones are the 6.8mm ball type and 78mm long

2) The inner drive cups are splined just like the Manta Ray's

Question #1:

May I use Manta Ray's drive cups, dogbones, outer crive cups in the Boomerang Diff?

Question #2:

Where may I find the correct dimensions (mm) for the different cups/dogbones combinations (boomerang/hotshot-avante/MantaRay-TA/TL)?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Ciao

hi,

i think the best place to find that information, would be in the manual section - or maybe find a specific car in the listings, and do a parts compatibility check on those specific parts - if you know what i mean...[8)]. i wouldn,t be suprised if the parts were interchangable without too much trouble. tamiya are pretty tidy like that. you can do a part number search aswell - if you have the numbers handy - and i think you can find out what parts fit what cars that way too.

have fun!.

The manta ray diff joints do nicely fit with the diff bevel gear, you would however have to get them machinated (enlarge inner diameter) if you want to use them with the boomerang regular dogbones.

I did such operation which cost me 5 euros...
