Today I have bougth a XC Pajero over ebay.

It is for my dad and I am sure he want's working lights.

Working front lights are no problem but what about tail lights?

Did anybody ad tail lights to his Pajero Metaltop [?] I do not want to drill holes into the body and notice afterwards that it looks terrible [xx(]

I had those years ago. You can make them really, really realistic and put a lense in, of you can do as I did and put in square red LEDs, orange LEDs, and such. If you use LEDs, you can even have them work as brakelights using the brakelight module...

Mine has tail lights.

1) cut out the holes... drill and then file them out to the size of the apertures. A set of needle files is best and do it by hand, I wouldn't trust myself with the Dremel on this unless you're very skilled.

2) get some scrap lexan, cut to right size/shape. For the 'bend' around the corner, heat it with a lighter whilst bending and the lexan will bend without folding a white line. Might be easier to bend it then cut out.

3) glue it into the apertures (oh, paint the shell first [;)]). I used some Testors glue made for model windows, it dries clear. CA will fog.

4) paint the lenses with Tamiya X-bottle Clear Red.

5) mine uses "grain of rice" lightbulbs, can hotglue/silicone them to the sides of the lights from inside.

6) cover the bulb and back of lens with tin foil, glue or tape it.
