I've been asked to Video and Photo as much as possible at this event and then compile a video for YouTube.

This will include chats with the drivers about their cars. Any camera shy drivers get let off.

I'll ask Super Gripper Lee to point me out during the drivers briefing and make everyone aware that I'll be wandering around a lot with cameras.

Cheers, J

That camo shell looks epic!

My lad took his HB out for practice after school with his friend and unfortuntley there was an incident with some bigger boys. Needless to say I have an upset son and a car to salvage today :/ luckily I have some spares although the shell may need some serious work / bodge.

qatmix, if you need anything, give it a shout on here. Maybe someone has a part you can use and can post or bring at the weekend.

Bodge sounds good though for some uniqueness! :)

Sorry top hear that chap, not a good thing to happen.

I have had to mend/repair my son's HB a few times, I still cannot get a glue to bond and hold without becoming brittle. Fibre glass tape underneath holds it together quite well though.

Its going to have to resemble a Mad max car now, the shell is in bad shape since they used it for a football.

I think the hunter systems undercover helped save the electrics (and lipo). The thing is we live in such a friendly area normally none of the neighbours know who the two kids were.

I've got the chassis all up and running now :) The body is in tatters though so It might not actually have a roof (or even a driver) gonna see if I can knock anything up tomorrow.. (Might need to take a day off this week to actually build my car!)

My turn for help!!!!

Just took the HB out for its second test run, after 2mins of running I drove the car approx 15metres awaya from me and it just stopped.

I was worried that for some reason my range was rubbish, but as I got closer the car I could here a beeping.. I took the shell off and saw the red light was flashing on the tamiya 104 esc.... and beeping!

Any idea what the problem is...? and how to get it going again.

Or I'll end up a spectator next weekend. :(

I found this on a forum as a reply to your exact question.

The TEU-104BK ESC is not equipped with a BEC and the "RED" plug simply supplies 7.2 volts from the main battery pack. Your receiver operates on only 6 volts. Try powering your receiver with a separate 6 volt battery pack instead of using the "RED" plug coming from the TEU-104BK and check the functions of the ESC again.

Not sure if its the right answer ???

I have to say, building and modifying rc cars is so much easier than running them...

I can't check the functions on the ESC, the car didn't come with any manuals... should have bought a new one. Whats a BEC and whats it do..?

Does anybody think, my tx and rx are knackered.. they went out of range (15m not very far) and the esc needs pairing/connectling again

Is it a code handset? I think they have issues with the 104 esc

Core-RC, Etronix and the other variants definitely don't like the 101BK but they've been fine for me with the 104BK.

Thanks for helping guys, I'm geting no where this end... starting to get frustrated, man and machine are not working in harmony.

Anyone want to buy an HB shell with cool driver.. :)

I am using a Core tx and rx... just my luck to have a tx and esc that don't like each other...

Try new batteries in the transmitter. If anything, I'm sure the chaps can get you going on Sunday morning.

Are the rx and tx compatible? The wheel and stick receivers are different.
