Do std 201 wheels fit on the DT02? Do they take bearings in them? I have fitted the tyres on the wheels, the fronts are slim staggard with med foams (although should I get Tubby fronts?) also the rear has Schumacher mini spikes (yellow) with tubby inserts and they fit, they just seem a little small.

Only the front 201 wheels fit the DT02 but must use the 201 bearings.

no need for tubby's in the cut staggards, slim inserts are fine.

Rear - schumacher yellow mini spikes with rear tubby inserts.

It is best to use Desert Gator front wheels and DF03 rear wheels for these tires.

yes these wheels are 2.2 as per standard sized buggy wheels.

the slim cut staggards are supposed too be that tall.

Cheers, to be honest I might just go with what I have now, I still haven't finished my car properly and the wheels seem ok.... But I will see how I feel in the morning :)

The DT-02 Star Dish front wheels are very narrow. I guess they might be also smaller in diameter (2.0 or something) - could somebody please confirm my assumption?. The DT-02 astral dish and DT-02 plain dish front wheels feature a regular width and should be 2.2.

A note to all - please read !!

On the day there will possibly one heat of normal buggies.(5 or 6 max)

These are club and committee members. The club is not open to Joe Blogs .

They will not be in any of our races And we are not marshalling them.

There is a huge event on at another club. - everyone is going there.

Everybody disregard anything they might read on another web site .

I finally got my Modified Class entry running before work this morning. Just a bench test and her first proper run will be on the track on Sunday.

A big thank you to the guys who've provided advice and tips. I thought I'd show what I've done in case it helps anyone else. The buggy is a Desert Gator.

Raised battery door at the front to accomodate a hard case LiPo.

How do you find these?, I have the same tyres, I think?, but the bead is a bit to wide to sit well in the tamiya wheels, (I have the skinny wheels (sand rover) if that makes any difference.) Also I have the low profile tyres.

Nice!, I might have to nick that idea, my 3s is a bit squashed in there :D

I've not tried them in action but they did seem to fit absolutely fine onto the Desert Gator rims

My electrics are still giving me grief... can you believe it after the ESC problems.

My steering servo is dead, swapped it for a spare ( which is a different make) and now I don't have a servo saver that fits the servo horn :angry:

Ordered a new one hopefully be here today.. and I'll have a working car again

Since you been having electrical problems with the radio gear, you didn't plug a Tamiya ESC (excluding the BK105) directly into a none BEC receiver and damaged the receiver and now the Servo with them having 7.4v connected directly to them?

I have to put my hands up and say I don't know what BEC is. I would like to mention that I took the car out once and ran it for 15mins, then decided a week later to have one more test run and after about 3mins its died...

But it sounds like you might spot on there Mr Kevinthegerbil.. oops

The rx still worked ok when I put it back in to my Axial EXO.... but then again they could be my famous last words... :)

BEC = Battery Eliminating Circuit.... Normally the Receivers with it built in have an oval symbol with BEC in it on the label. To my knowledge no 2.4Ghz Receivers are.

If you are stuck... I believe a few members here are bringing spare radio gear down, but I be prepared to rip out the electrics out off my Pumpkin if need be to get you racing.
