I have to agree with you on that one Haider. Do you have any idea on my spring question ?

Mate..

The springs are from the Hop up vintage hi cap sets...:-).

Thry do look like egress ones but shinny silver...

Copy That !

I just counted coils and these are 7 and 11 coils so must be the soft set I guess (softer than gold springs). Thanks Old Mate !

Yes..soft ones.

Looks quite nice. I guess no titaium screws. Was still hoping for steel hex screws. I think these expensive re-releases should be treated like the TRF kits and include hex screws instead. Oh well

TBH I always thought the gold springs on the original Egress made no sense. But then again neither did the blue adjusters. For whatever reason the color mish-mash just kinda worked (or maybe it's just nostalgic nowadays). But on anything else I still prefer the polished square springs. Even the original kit hi-cap round springs looked kinda odd when actually placed on the car. Way too many coils on the longer ones.

Noticed 3 things in the Manual:

1)- In step 22, The bottom of the front damper mount has a spacer in-between the Screw and the Ball connector.

2)- The holes in Body, wing and the under tray are pre-drilled , unlike the re re Avante and BS ( we have to make holes )

3)- Painting the Body in Re Re is without masking the windows, unlike the vintage instruction of masking the windows.

Indeed very interesting!!

This is for now and dont know what is next to observe ;)

cheers

As per the R/C parts in Tamiya usa site,, the re re Egress will use the following sealed bearing item number: 43532

so are we seeing the sealed bearing are back when they were not in re re Avante?

The body holes are set , so it is different to the orignal & the front body hole is in a different spot .

Any chance of some advice fella's?

I think I might just go and be all 'modern' and buy a brushless set up for my new Egress. Any tips on a good motor and esc package that would feel similar to a Dynatec in power? I don't want anything insane, just something manageable. I'm also sticking with Nimh's too, as I don't fancy the whole Lipo business.

Do Tamiya do any any reasonable set ups? Also, as someone mentioned earlier, the motor shaft on the modern Sport Tuned isnt long enough for the Egress, so is this something I'd need to bear in mind here too?

Thanks in advance!

I use 13.5 LRP & LRP esc on a vintage Egress & that runs fine .

@matman:

Well, i think the Re Re Egress Body and the Vintage are 100% same, except the filming protection in Re RE.

I see where the new one sits .
