If stella was $520 + $60 shipping then that would be more than FusionHobbies UK retail price. Given Fusion offer up to 10% discount that would make then £40 cheaper than Stella delivered.

Stella have got to come in at under $460-470 shipped to UK, otherwise it won't be worth buying from HK - thats ca £310

Even at that price I'd rather pay another £28 locally and not worry about import duties/handling fees etc.

Stella need to be under $450 shipped for my business

Luckily, Tamiya Era said Singapore dollars, so its a good price :) $520 is £260...with postage at say, £35, that's £295, which is bang one what we we're hoping for :)

Well, suffering from insomnia here, when will this buggy be available? The Egress (and TF EVO) is my dream retro buggy. I wonder how much $$$$$ it will cost to get one in my stable. 500 $'s is alot, I might pass eventhogh a TRF502 is in the same ballpark (I'd prefer a 502). Kinda flustered at the moment.... Well, my wallet is open regardardless :P

If you are a Tower Hobbies SSC member in the USA, you can save $75 off the $560 kit price, or add $40 more stuff to bring the total above $600 and save $90 (like I did).

$560 - $75 = $485 shipped (kit only)

$600 - $90 = $510 shipped (kit plus $40 of extra stuff you added to your order) (I like to think of it like I paid $470 for the kit and bought $40 of other stuff I needed anyway)

Interesting, it says its requires radio gear, battery and an esc...but not a motor...could this mean we get one included???

Fingers crossed!

NO Motor...already the production going on without Motor.

Well that hasn't happened. I wonder what the hold up is?

Stella is still reading this thread to see how much we are/aren't prepared to pay ?

If only! More likely a delay as the likes of Banzai & RC Champ don't have any stock yet either.

Where is this kit being manufactured? Japan or Philippines?

The Tamiya factory in the Phillippines may have sustained damage from the storm.

The Tamiya factory buildings are located just northeast (across the street) from the MEPZ2 lagoon in the below Google map link.

Mactan Economic Processing Zone 2
Lapu-Lapu City
Philippines
The factory is not marked on the map.

I used the 1st picture from this link on RCU to find the buildings.

The large building with the beige roof and middle ridge made it easier to spot on Google maps.

Now, zoom out of the Google map link and compare with this NYTimes graphic showing the path of the storm.

Cebu, located near the middle-right-bottom section on the map is where the Tamiya factory is located.

As you can see, the Tamiya factory was on the edge of the 75MPH wind zone.

If they are that cheap , I can't wait too see what Stellamodels price is going to be .

It's almost here i can smell it . I can't wait , it's killing me ! ...

Stella won't be able to beat that price. Banzai are cheaper than them across the board. Would be nice if we got a sub-$400 price though.

Yeah Banzai are silly cheap, always, on everything. Only downer is, you ALWAYS get hit with duty, so you can add a solid £30 on that price as an absolute minimum. Tempting though as their shipping is ULTRA fast. Tempted to throw a Clod Buster in as they're only £100 at the moment :o

Are Banzai not prepared to "assist" people in their hope of avoiding customs?
