Actually brushless draws less current from your battery for a given level of power (because it's more efficient).

But still good luck. :D

I've got a df03 running brushless (old etronics one faster than this) with a tamiya plug and have caned that with no problems. Ran it so hard for so long that I've got bored. Never had an issue.

I've also dialed the power back on this one so should be fine :) Famous last words lol.

I have an idea!. Put all that modern speed passion stuff in a modern race car and fit an adspec radio and cpr unit and dynatech motor!. That will be the cherry on a very sweet cake!. I just bought an expec cpr-01 radio set from an xb tt01 but the cpr unit is massive!. I am hoping the original cpr units out the vintage catalogues will be considerably smaller. They seem to be in pics?. I will sell the expec set and try one out or failing that I may go with the futaba esc/ tamiya bz motor as shown in the regress adverts. Ps out of interest how come you did not fit blue rod ends?. I thought i read you we're going to?. I have mine ready and waiting.

On truth I fit old tech in all my cars bar my df03 but this time I fancied something different. Do you not find that old electronics suffer with terrible interference these days? All 8 of my non 2.4ghz runners stutter like mad in their acoms setups and that never used to happen as a kid. My sons wheelie camper has a mind of its own lol.

I just thought to myself, if the egress was launched today, what would go in it, and the 9.5 brushless seemed like a solid modern day alternative to a dynatec.

Oh and the blue rod ends just seem to clash with the gold :(

My Avante 2001 runner is stock vintage all the way bar it's tamiya esc.

Just could not wait any longer , BUT will still get my two from Stella . The three box rule ;0 .

Weird, all of my new & vintage Futaba & Tamiya 27mhz & 75mhz AM & FM gear still operates flawlessly. And now that EVERYONE runs 2.4ghz, I no longer have to worry about channel issues. It's funny, but I literally have no reason to switch...

Ive struggled in the past with older Futaba gear Mark, but all my 40mhz KO gear has always worked like a dream with my Vantage II, its still IMO the best radio ever made. Ive pondered going 2.4ghz, but see no real reason other than the KO EX1 KIY looks like a cool japanese robot hehe, mind you, i struggle braking with a pistol grip!

As for ESC and motor combos, i love my brushed stuff, maybe its what i know and i don't mind skimming and changing brushes, and i reckon high end brushed ESC's are just cool as badword. That Tekin RS Gen2 in white is super sweet though, want one of those soon!

Hi all.

I emailed Wonderland Models today to see if there was any news on an ETA for UK Egress stocks, and they said that the UK distributor had taken delivery of them today, and Wonderland would be receiving their allocation early next week, with delivery shortly after.

So that's pretty good news for anyone who ordered one in the UK!

Ooooh nice one, that means that Fusion will be getting their order then, rock on!

Yep, I reckon so. You building the next one too, or keeping it MIB?

Can't wait to get mine. Would be ace to take my time with the build over the Christmas break.

So with one Egress allready in the mail on the way to me, I couldn't resist placing another order at Towers for 2 more kits. I feel there at so much uncertainty about this kit so I could not risk not getting my dream fullfiled with three kits :-) Really happy now!

Now showing as out of stock on Fusion website (says due in 31st January 2014)

Did they sell them all, or did they not actually get them in?

I think most of their original allocation was taken in the pre-orders; maybe they didn't get all they expected anyway.

Latest reports of 3 years for Tacloban area to recover, 1800 people still misisng and now over 6000 dead makes a few months delay rather irrelevant IMO

I'd like to order some black wheels but the Egress manual from the link given earlier in this thread has two different part numbers - 19335066 on page 32 and 19335056 on page 28. Could someone be so kind to check the code on the sprue and let me know which one is correct? Thanks!

Yey, that pre-order at Fusion paid off! Apparently though the supplier only has enough to cover the pre-orders that they've already got placed. **** these things are popular!

The original hop-up part numbers for the Egress wheels are:

53049: Lightweight Narrow Wheels (front 4WD) (black) (12mm hex)

53050: Lightweight Wide Wheels (rear 2WD/4WD) (black) (12mm hex)

I predict (I have not yet opened my Egress kits) that the sprues on the re-re wheels will have these numbers on them.

Side note: 53046 is Lightweight Front Wheels (2WD) (black) (5x11mm bearing) (for Astute/Madcap/etc.)

It is likely that Tamiya created a new part number for the full set of 4 wheels (rather than make a narrow set and wide set available individually like they did before). In my opinion, that's too bad as I have no use for the narrow 4WD wheels but would like the wides.

A Google search for 19335056 reveals nothing (No matches found).

However searching for 19335066 reveals links to rchamp.co.jp including one that translates to the following:

One minute 19,335,066 egress wheel
Tamiya / Customer Service
Serial number 19335066
JAN code 0418010023085
Price 903 yen ⇒ 813

So my guess is that 19335066 is the full set of wheels (2 fronts/2 rears).

WOW you guys kill me three even four kits from som of you!. Im currently rebuilding a old porsche 930. I also collect military fire arms, and shoot alot. Hard to justify more than one kit when 550us bus alot of ammo, fire arms and car parts!

as i suspected - what little did get out of Japan pre/post typhoon is limited , irrespective of the country of destination. Supply will eventually be resumed, just have to be patient.

These NEW black wheel sprues have the numbers 53005 & 53006 printed on them because they are made from the same molds as the white wheels. The really funny thing is the original white & black wheels from the 80's didn't have ANY number on them, so this is kinda weird!

This extra bit of plastic on the new ones is where it says the old old vintage part number.

Thank you Percy! I didnt know how to narrow down the search to this forum. Tamiyausa.com has Egress parts available, but no pics. Trying to see what they have the chassis listed at.
