These NEW black wheel sprues have the numbers 53005 & 53006 printed on them because they are made from the same molds as the white wheels. The really funny thing is the original white & black wheels from the 80's didn't have ANY number on them, so this is kinda weird!

This extra bit of plastic on the new ones is where it says the old old vintage part number.

Thanks for the correction. You had mentioned this before and I completely forgot.

It sure is confusing.

Yes, Her Maj Elizabeth is a constant trawler of Ebay hunting out tax dodging UK dwellers lol, its a good price, first time I've seen an import tax tacked on to a sale though!

Quick update to anyone who had the slightest interest in my agony of buying an egress from jr-rc...

After waiting 3 weeks and then upon request receiving a duff tracking number (contained 11 digits, not 9!) i requested a correct number with absolutely no response so out of desperation i started to ponder if the seller had made a mistake when sending the tracking number. I examined the number and extrapolated the most likely mistake in the number ( seller had doubled up the first 2 digits). I actually found the 9 digit number which corresponded to a parcel on its way from Tokyo to the uk!, however the parcel is sat at uk hub waiting for " revised customs fees to be paid". So I will have to wait for a letter or contact parcel force hq.

On a lighter note... Here is an classic song for you to build/ play with your egress to....

Another fake customs declaration caught by HMRC :(

Is it a matter of luck how some get caught. I'm really tempted to order a kit Iraq two from Banzai but am worried about getting stung by customs.

Steve.

Not personally but another TC member has recently been asked to provide the true value due to silly false values quoted on the package. Banzai are a real problem, they don't fill in the customs label with a value, but attach an invoice with clearly false values. My mad bull came through with the invoice clearly stating the contents , mad bull 58205 kit $5, sport tuned motor $1. I managed to escape but putting RC Toy Parts $30 on the customs form would have been a lot less suspicious IMO.

Just had my invoice email from Wonderland Models this morning, and my card has been charged.

Think it may be on the way, and hopefully with me this week. Pretty sure I've got the flu currently (been sitting in a fully heated office, shivering like mad), So the build will have to wait until the Christmas holiday, which was my plan anyway.

Yeah the limited UK stock is hitting our shores now. I'm guessing wonderland are supplied by the same folks as Fusion as they've said and done the same.

Purely out of curiosity, I'd love to know the 'official' figure for how many were made in this batch. I know not every tamiya fan on the globe trawls and chats on this forum, but I'd be pretty sure that a good chunk of the core fanbase resides here. I'm betting us guys have sucked up the vast majority of the ones made to date.

My Avante 2001 bodies have been purchased now too, so once my last Egress (vintage) gets sprayed up and decal'd and the 4 2001 shells arrive and my vintage 2001's look beeeeeeeautiful, I'm heading out to the countryside to do some photography. Gonna make for a killer shoot.

Just had a despatch email for my Egress. It will be delivered tomorrow.

Got sent home from work today as I apparently 'look like poo!' I suppose the good thing is that I will be at home to take delivery, but I will have to set the alarm for the estimated delivery time so I don't sleep through and miss them!

Some nasty bugs doing the rounds, both my little'ns are ill and I'm going downhill fast. Get plenty of pre-egress building rest my good man ;)
