After my recent purchases, I am kinda hoping stella do not get stock till new year.

My poor credit card is whimpering already.

Bash it more , you know you want too :P ..

I have been putting money away for this ever since the release news & now i can get another one , on

top of what i have ordered with Stella , But won't . As i would have to pay customs etc .

We can have up to $1000. B4 we have to pay , BUT the morrrrroonnn government wants to change that

& it looks like it's going to be @ some point . not sure when .

Woooooooooah just had 20 mins outside with a set of 2.2 wheels/road tires on - brilliant! I respectfully leathered the pants of it!

With this speed passion esc you can adjust the drag braking (new feature to old school me), so I turned that up a bit and man, on slippy tarmac that makes for some great fun with the torque splitter as it was drift central :) I made my own little imaginary course and blasted round it for a bit.

Hands down, the single best 4WD buggy I've ever experienced. This car is fantastic!

Oh and follow up on the tamiya plug worries that a few folks aired earlier. 20 mins of heavy non stop throttle bashing and there was no warmth in the connector whatsoever. In fact, only the esc had any degree of warmth on it and that was only a tiiiiiiny bit warm, nothing that you couldn't rest your finger on.

So all in all, this set up is working like a dream for me :)

Just started the first few stages of the build of my Egress to try to take my mind off the lurgy (otherwise known as tonsillitis).

Test fitted my LiPo with the chassis spacers screwed to the lower deck, and it's a no-go, as I suspected. Going to have to take the drill to my nice new carbon chassis to move front chassis spacer forward about 7-8mm.

The Hex Heads screws though are REALLY nice bits of kit! I bought hex screw kits from RPC before, and they are not a patch on this quality. Even the hex screws that came with my TRF201 are no where near this nice. They were expensive, but oh so worth it in my opinion. Should make rebuilds a little less fraught, anyway! :)

I get the impression that Modelsport do well enough to not feel the need to run discounts. I've bought a few cars from them in the past, including my RC10, but on the whole I tend to buy mainly parts, tyres etc from them. Nice and friendly bunch though, always willing to help.

The thing with Modelsport, if they say in stock then it's in stock, end of - so if you're willing to pay extra then it'll be in hand the next day because there shipping speed is second to none :)

RE: Speed Passion ESC and motor - top quality stuff for sure. I run a Reventon Pro and sensored 6.5T in my DB01 and it's an awesome setup and very tuneable.

Siedel have them showing in stock now at Euros 349.99 - even with poor sterling exchange rate and shipping charges, that is £50-60 less than modelsport, with no risk of import duties.

If I bought one with Seidel today what's the chances of it arriving before Xmas?

Ordered mine yesterday at Seidel (not Siedel) got an message from DHL that it should be delivered tommorow.

Deliveries to UK might just make it before boxingday if your lucky maybe even Saturday.

Oops just checked german post, DHL package Xmass delivery states latest 17 December.

Well they usually are wrong with their predictions, think this year they will make it.

50:50 I'd say, they use DHL so could be with u next Tuesday but suspect you may have to wait til the following week after that .

Jeez, I am so tempted.

What level of DHL's service do Seidel use? I have just been on the phone to DHL here in the UK but they weren't much help as they said delivery time would depend on the level.

DHL has 2 types: DHL Express which has 10 digits only no letters , normaly arrives in 4 days.

And DHL parcel which has 13 figures Starting with 2 letters and ending with 2 letters and this will arrive normally in 7-20 days.

So I guess these are the levels. .

Seidel uses normal DHL parcel me think , express would be too expensive.

If you ordered today you should be getting a couple of follow up mails and the last one should include the tracking number.

think getting on the Britisch isle might not be the problem but the transport way up North ;)

Tamiya Era means to say approx 7 days UK and 20 getting it into the dessert :P

deutsche post paket trace

mine is halfway :)

How fast has stuff arrived from Siedel to the UK in the past? Anyone care to comment?

I think your issues are not o much DHL, but the speed at which Siedel package and despatch (they will be busy with local sales as well as internet) and the UK customs / mail processing.

Smart move Andy - justify a Wild One because Egress is delayed and then sneak an Egress in last second ;)

And then neither of them turn up on time.
