Shame about Stella's crumpled boxes, highly unusual for them although obviously not their fault at all. It seems nothing about this release has gone smoothly. :(

Stella had crumpled boxes too Andy? Thats not good, i actually messaged by German seller asking if they cartoned it up hardcore, really want a mint box to arrive.

I think Stella are just covering themselves - they quote cannot guarantee perfect boxes on lots of kits. Perhaps its a reflection of how they are packaged in multiples coming into them. I certainly don't think its anything on their part - nothing but over the top packaging to ensure goods arrive at their customers in same condition it left them; my Avante 2001 boysets came in a box that would have quite happily transported a motorbike engine.

Crumpled is probably an exaggeration, but the corners are definitely damaged on some of their boxes. Just hope I get one of the better ones as I like my kits to at least look mint when I first receive them.

I totally agree and i believe the mistake is not from the sellers but from Tamiya it self. looks like they didnt made it very well secured to reach the warehouses cos the box crease is there with all sellers...

Ahhh i see, well there not too bad, but nothing a cardboard corner protector, costing pennies wouldn't solve, but i agree, its not on Stella's part. Well i got my tracking details, not long now, fingers crossed i get a nice box, think ill try find the time to true up some foams for this one too.

Me too. £269.61 is not too shabby, assuming customs don't get their grubby hands on it. Fingers crossed. <_<

I have one egress on the way from them :)

Still waiting for DHL to get there finger out, as the egress kit I ordered from seidel was dispatched on the 23rd, and is still listed as being in a Germany sorting office :(

( any reason why I cant quote then reply to other postings, quote button does not seem to work for me )

Well I'm not liking the box condition in this batch so think I'm going to pass for a month. Give customs chance to process my banzai egress and judge how that box looks on arrival.

My Banzai order was perfect and my Fusion order was rather crushed :( Needless to say, Banzai box is the stored one with the untouched kit and the Fusion one is on display and the car built :)

Well mate...I got mine from banzai yesterday. I bought 2 kits from them, 1 kit has a very bad crush on bottom corner and the other kit is mint.

I am very disappointed with Banzai's packing..they didnt made it professionally with bubbkes and crocks. ..

Let see hiw it is urs and keep us updated.

Cheers Lee, I am just glad it is finally on the way. I have kept back another £60 too though just in case it does get nabbed by customs. Even if it does it will still have been cheaper than buying within the UK.

Andy your spot on, i bought from Germany via Ebay, its due tomorrow according to the tracking, and that cost me £330, no biggie, few quid more, but needed to get it on the way, but you will still have a cracking price even factoring in a customs charge. You running this one mate, or display only? Ill be running mine, but still pondering a second, though i may try trade a surplus Yokomo 91 out for one at a later date, just to save the hobby funds more burden haha!
