Andy your spot on, i bought from Germany via Ebay, its due tomorrow according to the tracking, and that cost me £330, no biggie, few quid more, but needed to get it on the way, but you will still have a cracking price even factoring in a customs charge. You running this one mate, or display only? Ill be running mine, but still pondering a second, though i may try trade a surplus Yokomo 91 out for one at a later date, just to save the hobby funds more burden haha!

This will definitely be a shelfer mate. To be honest I am not too fussed about having a runner at all, for me personally the appeal of this buggy is the looks. By all accounts it seems to be an average runner for the expense so I think I would rather just admire the beauty of it on a shelf. :)

I do plan on buying a second Egress in the future, so long as it gets a decent length of production run, as I want to convert one into an Avante 2001 shelfer.

With the number of kits sold, I am certain Tamiya will continue to re-release more vintage models in the future. This is a great thing indeed and I am glad I can join in the fun. They see $$$, we see cool kits. :)

2 days back got my order from Banzai:

- 2 Egress kits

- Tamiya EXPEC 2.4 with 302BK

Today got another kit from Hobbycart:

20131231_140625_zps3eaf5fa3.jpg

Speaking ture! HobbyCart packing is Excellent. The kit is in Super mint condition and wrapped with Factory plastic Bag.

As for Banzai,,i wished they packed the kits nicely as no any protection around the kits which made me surprise..as one kit has a bad crush on top right bottom corner as the kit was not protected by any means of bubbles or cork

Over All,,satisfied to get these Re Re at last!

compared to Towerhobbies and Banzai, Thumbs up for HobbyCart Packing style!

Regards

Congrats man, nice haul!

I was going for a 3rd but then dropped out and spent the money on a CR-01 Unimog and a Super Clodbuster from Banzai :)

Man, this forum thread alone must have brought Mr.Tamiya a nice little wad of cash before Christmas this year ;) I think we've successfully gobbled up all the Egress's on planet earth, mwa ha ha haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa (evil laugh)

NIP front damper stay currently on ebay for £22. F2 Stu had sets of carbon-style BF parts a few months ago. Not sure about Mike's (mheald) replica ones, I think he sold out of them. Over to you, Mike.

Such things exist? If so please spill :)

When i attempted to check out an kit from banzai it had a section for a discount code. I thought it may be like play Asia who I get my video games from as in when you purchase an item they always include a paper slip with a discount code. I just thought someone may have one knocking around but never mind.

I forgot to say.. Has anyone else tried fitting blue 6mm adjusters on the regress?. The rere uses 4 x 5mm rod ends on the steering links so i was unable to fit the vintage blue rod ends i bought :(

Also has anyone noticed the lack of avante 2001 buggies on ebay the last few months?. I have a brand new shell and white wheels and tyres here that will look great on a 2001 chassis if one ever comes up.

My shopping list is.. Dyna tech motor, cpr unit and avante 2001 roller and a nice vanquish if anyone has any.

this is interesting, i've just acquired BF parts, shock tower and Blue adjusters, so it seems I'm also gonna need steering tie rods??
