Hi everyone, first post here. Getting an Egress for my birthday (Jan 14th) recieved from Banzai on Monday but now all wrapped up :(

I've wanted this thing since 89! hoping it will look lovely next to my Avante 2011.

Mike, love your build. thought I'd join here to share and stuff :)

Oh, I have a Hotshot II somewhere and an original Top Force still deciding on whether or not to give that thing the love it needs though.

Here's the Avante

Welcome to the forum man! Glad you enjoyed the build! Pre warning, this forum is VERY bad for the health of your wallet ;)

Nice Avante too, I spent my New Year's Eve building mine, glamorous huh ;) This is what happens when you have 2 under 3yr olds ;)

NIP front damper stay currently on ebay for £22. F2 Stu had sets of carbon-style BF parts a few months ago. Not sure about Mike's (mheald) replica ones, I think he sold out of them. Over to you, Mike.

I have got some left over from orders that were never paid for...but I'm not sure where they are now :( I'll keep my eyes peeled and let you know if I find them. I think there's about 3 sets.

Thanks Mike, sure let me know, no rush, I'm not liking fitting a flimsy FRP vintage damper stay anyway, so thought id have it made in carbon, thanks for the info though Andy!

I am getting a bit confused as to who has what regarding the front end parts?!. Candy man... Is that front damper stay for sale or is it intended as a master for a new run of parts?. I would like to put myself forward to buy a set of brackets and damper stay where possible, candy man / mike? Thanks.

Ps can you all make another excellent thread like this one so i can sub to that as well!. What are we all pumped for next?....

Hello, no just order it from fibrelyte, its on their website, you can have it in 2mm 2.5mm or 3mm carbon

I think mine was about £10-£12 delivered.

A reliable source from Tamiya dealers in Japan:

(Tamiya Japan would like to limit the quantity of Egress 2013, so it is very unlikely that more sets will be manufactured anytime soon)

Aaaaaaaaand queue the forum rush to hoover up all remaining stock worldwide ;)

And I'm not currently sat staring at RCMart contemplating 2 more...honestly.

P.S. I predicted this a few weeks ago ;)

Farcical, if true.

If that is true, this is the worst release Tamiya have mishandled, stock in drips and drabs, collectors buying crazy multiples of said stock, now they plan to limit it, pretty pathetic!

Could not agree more. Thing is though, I highly doubt that this rumour is true.

Andy i can't see it being true, smells of something rotten TBH as Tamiya I'm sure will be stuck with so much surplus manufactured stock IMO, as, there hasn't even been a true big release, just bits and bobs of stock coming into stores worldwide <_<.

If collectors already have the kits they want, the rumour may be true

As I doubt they will sell many to non collectors.

I Personally think they have used up the parts from the non selling vajra,

so there may well be limited stock

I could be wrong though

As disappointed as many if us have been about this release bear in mind there was a blooming big typhoon that swept they their supply chain. We have no idea what that means for the facility or the employees. A box of plastic parts is somewhat meaningless in the scheme of things.

Could be limited sure, but surplus Vajra parts, not much, Tamiya still had to manufacture, new wheels, damper stays, body sets, decals, boxes, surely its not THAT limited, curious, but yes, a valid point for some components!

If all the wheels, damper stays, decals and bodies etc ,were produced in the area that got hit by the typhoon, I can see a limited run
