BTW,

If you all noticed, all the plastic parts from A ~ Z are reinforced type compared to vintage and they are indeed hard plastic type. So I dont think you will face any issue especially with part C unless riding like mad...:')

are they different to rere Avante's?

Yes..the type of building materials are different as I noticed. Nore sttong in re re egress.

sweet, if they have injection molded in fibre plastic that would be a great detail improvement

the Avante's C bits were just plainjane ABS I think

Exactly,,,this what i wanted to mention..i feel it is finished with semi fiber plastic cos the touch of these parts are semi hard and rigid in building compared to vintage which is smooth! :)

Reinforced plastics are not necessarily stronger.....especially if they are from the exact same mold. They are most definitely stiffer though. Which can make them more prone to breakage in high-stress areas.

Body look durable to me, at least handing my own. Were there any nicks in the hole for the post, they always crack, and need sanding out?

Ill second what Haider said, Tamiya body shells have been of amazing quality for many years, so it sounds odd. Thats a lovely chassis you have built though Basgetz, need a vid of that beast!

And cold climate, as any flex is taken out of the equation and replaced with a sheer brittle nature!

the sticker wil cover a bit, my body is extreme thin at some points

and i ment the air pots :)

I'll back this up, my shell is thinner than supermarket cake boxes in places, I could 'literally' slide my scissors through it in places without having to actually cut. Quite shocking for a Tamiya body. Not too fussed as it hasn't yet cracked, but that may change after a few shell removals.

Ok, just checked my shell, its thin at the bottom of the pull, the excess i mean, shell seems good!

Theres a small dimple in the corner where you have cracks bud, im guessing a vac aid, could be the weak point as yes, right where the dimple is, itll get thinner!

Im guessing, they will vary, ive got another shell in the mail so ill report back on that too!

Could be worth putting a tiny jobber bit on a pin vice through the ends of the splits, the stickers will hide this, but it should stop it splitting further, always worked on TC shell arches giving a bit more life to them!

If its really a factory floor defect, i say we all collectively contact Tamiya regarding, could be isolated, but be interesting to here of any more in the very near future, especially seeing as this car has even been run yet, and thats basic handling in the cutting/painting process, running will only worsen what is there already.

In had exactly the same issue with a Wild One bodyset - thought it was just a bit of heavy handling on my part when cutting it out, but both the side pods and the roof panel were affected. Up until now i thought it was just me, or a combo of me and the anodized blue paint - maybe not !

edit, still mailing

or rough translation..

Tamiya used for some bodies

thicker other thinner material. we

unfortunately have no influence. some

Bodies are due to your form in certain

Ask prone so there the color lighter cracks

can get or dissolves. In such a case

It is recommended the body before painting

easy to clean (eg 87118) and in the painting

apply only thin layers

When Tamiya re-released the Sand Scorcher with the faulty rear cage they replaced them all free of charge. If this Egress is truly flawed then we all should be contacting our suppliers and asking them to contact Tamiya about free replacement body parts.

Not so good if you keep them nib for a few tears before building = recompense :(

With my Wild One there was no sign until after paint.
