Indeed yummy...and the box is soo delicious!!! ;-)

also a tinge of sadness though

if the newie ain't got Titanium screws nor the blue ballends... might taste like singlemalt diluted with soda -_-

Loool, then it is going to taste like singlemalt diluted with soda for nkw till Tamiya comes up (if) with Tit. Screws for the Egress same they did for Avante 2011

good thing with Ti is... it don't corrode nor weld itself to like-material nuts like Aluminium :)

yellow car hasn't been washed since running on Beach 10+ yrs ago and the hardware

still unscrews today like new, after scrubbing off caked-on greasy mud & sand

thought i'd do some wrenching since they got dragged out into daylight today

Wow, I took the Egress and my newly built Avante 2011 to a massive empty car park last night (no tracks near me of any description) and gave both cars a good blast. Man, the difference between the Egress and Avante is unreal. You can really feel the difference in design between the two cars and how well the car evolved from Avante to Egress. I'm gonna do the same again next week but take the 2001 along too for comparison.

God I'm loving having newly built models of these cars...bar the 2001 of course.

nice original scheme you did there, neat & simple! :D

My yellow isn't my handiwork, think it might be a non-Tamiya colour

as its got less red tone than PS27. Probably Pactra at a guess.

The car is an original racecar campaigned by a driver sponsored by Zigzag,

supposedly it got into the B-main at some Nationals back then.

I have left it largely untouched (its got tuned springs, upright rear shock tower, bumper)

except for some modern stickers reflecting current usage.

Might even repower it to brushless soon :)

Parcelforce delivered my Egress kit from Stella today, with no customs charge. Slight crush on one corner of the outer box had me worried but of course once I opened it there was the legendary Stella packaging and no damage at all anywhere on the actual box. It's almost a shame to undo it all!

Wandy, have you added decals to your electric blue Egress yet? If so, do you have any pics? Thanks :-)

????

You have got me mixed up with someone else mate, I don't have an electric blue Egress.

Great looking body matman, loving the colour scheme.

Have to say though, it seems odd to me that purists want to do the build with the blue rod ends/front shock adaptors to match the original, but then slap a non-period brushless system in the chassis. Surely the new suspension setup on the re-re is going to handle brushless power better - if that's not the concern then why not fit a period brushed motor like a Dynatech or something.

Just wondering..?
