Great looking body matman, loving the colour scheme.

Have to say though, it seems odd to me that purists want to do the build with the blue rod ends/front shock adaptors to match the original, but then slap a non-period brushless system in the chassis. Surely the new suspension setup on the re-re is going to handle brushless power better - if that's not the concern then why not fit a period brushed motor like a Dynatech or something.

Just wondering..?

I run this setup in my vintage Egress & just swapping it over . I runs great & i have got the Blue rod ends that didn't cost alot

& i like them as it makes the Egress . + why do i need to go all the way purist ? , When i have Two vintage that are .

Why would i want brushed ? , I will kill them with the dirt we have here & the brushless is great .

It's not all about Box art vintage with the re re's , we can mix it up to suet , that's what it's all about , A little

of this & a little of that .

I'm not too sure about the white wheels , so i have put on the black wheels .

Since i had white on the side of the body , i was thinking that the white wheels would have gone with it . But

I think it's too much , so i have put on the black one's & i think they look better ( i hope ) . I could try the pink

wheels :D ..

Hey, that's fair enough :)

I prefer the white wheels btw..

C'mon open it... I've gotten sufficiently psyched to tackle that Stella crate shortly. :P

Postie also just brought RCmart's box :D god bless mr postal delivery worker on this 43degC day!

It's out of it's cardboard packaging but won't be getting built any time soon. Next on my build list is the RC10. :)

Black is best, without a doubt. I am not actually a fan of the lightweights in white, they are a bit bland looking IMO.

Be careful how tight you do your diff screws people. I did mine up tight, as the diffs didn't seem to have much lsd effect, and both of them snapped, not while doing up, but while sitting on the shelf unused! Only discovered the front one had done it too after just fitting the replacement screw to the rear :( Post man is gonna do well out of me! Same diff screw as trf201 btw.

finaly the first drive, what a blast!! 10.5 tekin just perfect, so smooth, much top end, really like no slipper in this old style buggy for fun driving, makes it special compared to modern buggy's, great run for 30 minutes before i catch a puddle and terminated mij receiver, wich is working now after drying, great job tamiya! it handels great, good steering tanks to one way. my set up was stock, 22 tooth pinion, rear spring holder max up, front 3 mm

movie: 1 hand driving and filming so be gentle :) i drive much better normally ;)

The Egress does have a motor and servo fitted.

I intend to keep this looking pristine for a while before I run it, seems a shame to spoil it.

Well i just painted my upper shell, used the spare i ordered as it seemed thinner, so i did a test run. NOT happy with the lexan consistency, blooming awful for a kit of this caliber, but my kit shell does seem way better, so ill save that for a box art later. Pretty much had to use the Proxxon on the whole front end, scissors were just sliding into the cut line, so i thought better of using them.

I have given mine a spin & need to change some things too be happy .

That's only for MY track conditions & i had NOT tighten the Avante centre

Ball diff ( as i had put that together months ago & had not done it up till i was ready too )

But then again i didn't , too old to remember  .

The 13.5 is not fast enough for what i need , so i will have to look at the 10.5 ,

But B4 i do that i will change pinion size 1st & see how that goes .

Not much different too my vintage runner , except i can run it harder & not

worry if i can get the parts to fix it :D .

The battery is hard too get in & yet it was not in the vintage ?. & i have set it up

the same as i had it . Yes i have got a li-po in it .

i do the batterry bodyclip the other way arround, much flatter, my 4200 lipo also fits barely, much run time on 10.5, about 40 minutes, today i make a new better and longer race vid in a few ours

i used a piece of ductape to safe the undercowl, after 2 runs still sits good:

did some impressive bashing, stil one hand filming and driving, no handling problesm on this vintage, pretty impressive:

bal diff seems slipping even its pretty tight

I need to stop looking at this topic as I had no intention of getting an egress, that changed after seeing a few here and ordering some 2001 bodysets but I really can't afford one for a while. Pleaseeee stop tempting me !
