Well here is it in gun metal. Came out ok in the end, and as a test run on the spare shell it'll suffice. Fudged my nose decal, lined it up central, and the static sucked it on so hard I've left it where it landed a little further down the bonnet, schoolboy error and a chest infection I'm putting it down to haha!

Masked the windows and smoked them, saved the decals just in case, but they turned out nice so ill leave them, quite like more sheen on the windows TBH. Ill finish up the tray and wing later, then get back to the chassis, and, paint a silver box art later.

As stated, be warned, these shells seem to be very inconsistent from pull to pull, so go easy.

Thanks Haider, yeah i really like it, had to break away from the normal silver, but i will paint one later, still pondering a second kit TBH. mine will be a break away anyway, as I'm slamming the suspension and dragging the wing back some, more like a slammed tarmac assassin lol!

I am too going to paint another one with GM since my runner is bix art..;-).

I always loved the GM but since I dont have the box art paint, decided to go for it.

Will paint the GM for my shelfer..:-)..

Cheers Buddy!

I need to stop looking at this topic as I had no intention of getting an egress, that changed after seeing a few here and ordering some 2001 bodysets but I really can't afford one for a while. Pleaseeee stop tempting me !

I know what you mean. The Egress was always one of the nicest looking buggies but since I never owned an original, I wasn't hyped up like so many have been. But this thread :blink::blink: it has got me wanting one and I really can't afford one.

Ahhh I love this wonderful country. My Egress's left Banzai and landed here within 2 days...and now they've been sat with customs for a further 3 days, now 'awaiting customs charging' how wonderful.

Thanks UK, you suck, as always.

Awesome mheald!

So whats the plan with this new kit??

Thanks man.

1 is staying NIB (this is the second one from my last buy) and the new two are going to be gifts for my boys when they get older. My eldest is 4 this month and is already RC obsessed. He's got a VW wheelie camper and a Farmking. My youngest will get something similar as he gets older. My son that is 4 already knows the Tamiya symbol as he saw it on my t-shirt and said 'daddy, that says radio controlled trucks!' ha haaa. I'm training them well.

Result, the import duty is £35 for both the Egress's together, faaaaaaantastic. That makes a grand total of £501 for two Egress or £250.50 each. Now that has made my day. I've spent more than this on Egress fixer-uppers over the years. Happy man :)

Ha, yeah, they're coming. They're not in my hands yet (I rang them for the total) as here in the UK they spend about 6 days at customs, then go to a national hub for 1 day, then they send you a letter 2 days later, then you have to pay online aaaaaaaaaaaaand then they'll deliver 2 days after that lol. So there's a good 4 days before I'll get them yet. I hate the UK for all its red tape.

Lol, well, it would appear that they've not been opened as the Egress over here is £399, so if they'd opened them up, the duty would have been based on £798...which would have been VERY expensive. So a big thanks to Banzai on this order for marking the price as it should be ;) I just wish Banzai would sort out my other order that's been lingering around for nigh on a month now :(
