Ha, yeah, they're coming. They're not in my hands yet (I rang them for the total) as here in the UK they spend about 6 days at customs, then go to a national hub for 1 day, then they send you a letter 2 days later, then you have to pay online aaaaaaaaaaaaand then they'll deliver 2 days after that lol. So there's a good 4 days before I'll get them yet. I hate the UK for all its red tape.

Mheald, I'm pretty sure you can pay for charges online before you get the letter - I did this with my DB01R import, as soon as it said 'charges applied' I could navigate and pay online and they released the parcel the same day (I'm pretty sure this is what happened)..

Hahah mate...kidding...had 5 kits and sold 1 to a friend. So I have 4 kits now.

1 is built, 1 will be build with Avante2001 body set and 2 will remain as they are till their destiny come..;-)

No point of having more of these as I believe 4 kits are ideal to own!

Cheers

Well, my rollers finished pretty much. Going to get the the electric install tomorrow. Love the GM paint, not a great fan of the silver TBH, but i will paint one for prosperity later. Still want some black wheels, can't find them for love nor money, have they been swallowed up, anyone wanna sell me some, need to true up some foam tires.

Went for an insane long wing angle, just adds some 80's flair i think. I used the blue tie rod ends, i have two Hansell Vintage carbon towers, just need some lower metal brackets still.

Anyhoo, happy overall, lovely build, silly usual Tamiya quirkiness and OTT way of doing stuff, but thats why i love them, oh i did drop the suspension somewhat, used a 5mm spacer in the front, think it was 8mm in the back.

I already posted this on my 2K1 restoration thread but i thought i might have more luck here. I need to know the dimension between the centerpoint of both holes as indicated on the pic. Can someone please measure it on his rere Egress and let me know?

Many thanks, Dominique

Mr Postman turned up with a package for me today, ordered from Stella on the 15th, landed on my door step 7 days later sans import duties etc. Now that's what I call service! And all for £260...bargain.

Unfortunately no build can begin till I have time and space to do it, and that wont happen till the loft conversion is done. :( So sometime this summer I suspect.

hi Dom, you do know they've moved the battery post in the new car, ya?

Need to pick a better universal point of reference.

Did they move both posts? The post i want to measure from is the one on the side that supports the battery sideways. Has that moved too? If so, indeed you are right. I will check it out and provide a new pic with 2 other points of reference.

Can't say till I get a chance to release the new chassis plates from their blister captivity. :)

I've got a set of original Graphite plates floating about loose so it won't be too hard

to overlay & compare, come that time.

Anybody else that has built his new rere Egress and can provide some dimensions from the various other holes in the upper deck to the mount hole of the driver? I want to get on with the bracket to mount the driver on my 2K1.

Hi DD....I will do it for u in 5 hours time..:-)

Thanks Haider. I have a good plan to fix the driver now. Only need the correct position. Pics will be ofcourse in my 2K1 thread.

Excellent. Willychang mentioned that maybe the battery sidepost may have been moved on the 2013 Egress. I believe you also have a 2K1 and an original Egress. Can you see any difference in position of the post between original and rere?

Yes..in re re the position gives more space for battery.

I did a thread about : what is new in re re egress under general discussion and I believe discussion about that was there

Hello Haider, thanks for the tip. I did compare both upper decks. I can clearly see that the front battery post is moved but with the naked eye, i cannot determine whether the side post has moved to. Can you double check?

If they are the same, i will be able to make and present my fix in the weekend :)
