Hare Brained Chassis idea

Does anyone have any idea what the wheelbase is for this truck?

I found the pic online last night and had an idea for dropping a Pumpkin body on the chassis to recreate a tow truck look.

Would it not be easier to use a cc-01 mate and the optional low ride kit ? Cheaper too I dare say, M chassis wheels would also drop the ride height .

that's excellent - very scale and the wheelbase is spot on . does the track need pushing out slightly though with offset wheels ?

I did the same on an M02 chassis. Standard offset is best as you can tuck the wheels under the arches. I used curves Losi tyres on the front.

got to say the pumpkin has a very nice body tamiya used for the wheele series, and with a chasis swap it could be a very nice truck. is an america classic. has all the curves and arches in the right places. is one pick up i would like have in 1:1.

that flat black or gun metal gives it the vader look. nice

I'm with you on this one as well as Sayer, it is strange how this body was overlooked by Tamiya as something that they could use to make a really model with. Still it leaves the door open for everyone else that wants to get inventive it.
