I bought this just over 2 weeks ago and it was collected by the courier on the 12th August and it has not been seen since.

I am totally gutted as you can imagine,

I have no doubt it will resurface sometime soon and its fairly distinctive, please would you let me know if it pops up for sale or anyone spots it.

A few details would be helpful. What country or regions involved, carrier and personal sale or Ebay might help.

Burntwood, Staffordshire U.K is the collection area.

Hermes is the courier.

eBay was the source of the purchase.

Surely the courier must have some tracking info ?

Assume it was sent requiring a signature upon delivery ?

The tracking shows collection from the sellers, but then there is no further tracking information from that point.

It would have been signed for my end if it had been delivered.

MyHerpes are just useless, I hope it turns up soon. There are many dissatisfied customers out there however and some 'deliveries' are left on doorsteps / driveways if nobody is home - seen it multiple times.

I use MyHermes a lot and have never had a problem with them - maybe delivery a day late but that's it !

No courier should leave a package requiring a signature on a doorstep.

I recently had a 1/14 truck kit just left on my doorstep by another courier I won't mention by name but they are a big player.

This is true you can get your money back as its the sellers responsibility to ensure it gets delivered. He would have to try and regain his losses from the courier. I wouldn't leave it so long that the ability to go through PayPal dispute expires . If it turns up you can always pay the man.

I have had several parcels from myhermes.

one looked like it had been used as a football.

one was left out in the rain

the other was abandoned somewhere near my door.

I do not like myhermes and never recommend them to anyone.

Its fair to say that myherpes do not have the best of reputations. They may be cheap , they collect from your address ect but personally there is no way I would trust a high value item to their care .

City Link via parcelmonkey.co.uk have never let me down.

I used Citylink a lot and then a Lunchbox went missing and they were a sod to deal with, this was through Parcel Monkey as well.

That's why I switched to Hermes who until now have been really good.

I always insure and get items signed for, I guess it all comes down to the individuals who handle your parcels and the law of averages.

Terrible news mate, hope it turns up, id be on the blower all day to them!

I have had 2 run ins with Hermes, I hope a seller I use never uses them as both were supposed to be signed for, delivered to my office address, both on the tracking said signed for, which was a lie, I couldn't be bothered to chase them up and say, hmm really signed for by who, as the driver just handed a parcel to the first person to answer the door and walked away! both times! there are 3 companies in our building! maybe not very bad, but bad enough to say signed for when it wasn't ! twice!

Indeed. You can't please all of the people all of the time.

Personally for high value items I use Royal Mail - item insured and to be signed for . Ok so its expensive but IMO the best of a very mixed bunch .

You are probably right on this one, but at least twice the cost and definitely not a dead cert either.

I received my last Hilux via then P.O and it arrived well beyond the paid for date and it looked like it had been to a war zone on the way to me.

I understand but if a item is well package - ie to Stella's standards then there should be no way it can be damaged .
