Quick question, I've got myself a Holiday Buggy to run in the up coming DT02 race event.

It came with the ESC above, but I didn't get any manuals or how leaflet on the ESC.

Never really had one before, can I use lipo, does it have a cut off if I can.

Don't get me wrong its a 5000mah lipo and the race is only 5 mins, so I'll be no where near the minimum 3.2 volt per cell. then I'll charge again before next race.

Any help on set-up etc of esc might help, or a copy of the manual.

thanks

Steve

Yes you can run LiPo but keep it to 2s.

Yes it does have a cut-off but it is designed for LiFe cells that have a lower safe minimum than LiPo, so you'll need a separate LiPo cutoff/buzzer.

I appreciate that thanks... its a 2s I've got so I should be ok..

I'm be using the Tamiya and Mtroniks brushed speed controllers with no LiPo cut off for racing at the DT-02 Challenge with 2S Lipo's. Like you said, the capacity of LiPo battery far outweighs the capacity used in a 5 minute race with a 20 - 27T motor.

I race a Bearhawk at Chippenham with a MVP 27T Brushed motor off-road on grass and I get 2 x 5 min races out of 4000mah LiPo batteries with plenty of power left in them afterwards.

Now thats what I wanted to hear... :)

I look forward to seeing you there... Do you know if the teu-104bk has a brake at all..?

Yes, it performs like the TEU101 with the first pull back being the brake, then you need to recentre the stick and pull back again to get reverse. Main difference is it only has 50% power in reverse but that shouldnt be a problem with racing.

And 50% braking power of the 101 also.
