I dunno yet - may just limit the servo....

Trouble is the wheels are same offset (or more) as originals, but the tyres are bigger and slightly wider.

Spacing out the fronts will make them wider than at the back, may just have to understeer[;)]

Looking trick! I'm especially impressed with the cable clamping idea on motor housing [^][^][^]

BTW not sure if I missed something earlier but what re those wheels & tyres?

Looks nice Andy. Do you ever plan to run it? It looks almost military like. A camo paint job would look killer.

Yep, this one's for running (yay).

Still pondering colour-scheme, need to use the new airbrush [;)] but an FAV stylee wouldn't hurt...

To start with, a bog standard 540.

For some reason, no other motor will 'bottom out' at the pinion end of the current case, so I dremelled out another one (cheers Jezza) but I still gotta get it blasted and painted.

After that, sky's the limit really.

Still can't fit the wire end cover on, but I got 'em working on a spacer to take cover back a few millimetres, failing that, big lump of plasticine[;)]

A gear case, earlier today

Sorry, bog standard 540 from a TB01! But anything else wouldn't fit, not even a sport tuned.

Trouble is, they're all too long[:(]

Andy, I've just gone thru this process with my scorcher but I have given up trying to get the motor cover to fit as the high torque motors tend to be slightly longer. I am happy to live with the motor end exposed for the moment to gain more torque. The torquey motors I have found which are the correct length are then too large in dia (38.4) to fit the standard SRB gearcase bore (35.8) [:(]

Getting that way here, the shortest motor I could find is still at least 5mm too long, it's not the can so much, at the terminals and brush spring fittings on the end.

I'm sure somebody in the club can vac form some simple end caps which allow plenty of clearance? BTW Andy, I've just bought a Kyosho Mayhem truck motor, LHS had one in stock at £20, thought it was worth a try. Performance is staggering in my monster scorcher. I am really delighted. I have never witnessed an SRB with such acceleration let alone a 2.1Kg monster shift this way. You just need to remove the pretty sticker from around the can to ensure an easy fit in SRB gearbox.

[^] Found this out after a quick 'toys out the pram' moment with a blue one I bought - dunno what it is, had to take the sticker off[;)]

LOL, I wouldn't go too torquey with your motor Andy, I have been playing all day with my monster scorcher with that Kyosho Mayhem truck motor and it is more than enough for even my beast. I have had to add a little bit of right trim to counteract the extreme torque steer. I have also managed short wheelies [8D], the things climbs just about anything you can throw at it. I have now built myself a small mountain of rubble and dirt to test on. The Clodbuster can't even climb half way up - the scorcher not only climbs it with ease but happily drops off the near vertical slope at the other end without rolling over (yes, the clodbuster has now rolled more times than actually climbed!) I am just concerned that there isn't enough plastic gears left worldwide to supply me with spares.....I've worn one spur gear out already in just 24hours of having the new motor [:(][8D]

I got four or five knocking around - they usually come in the same kit as the teardroppy shape steering doohickies (can't remember tech. term[;)])
