axels

Recommended Posts

I need some advice - not again I hear you groan lol . My next project is more than likely going to be based on a Tonka Indian Winnebago . These suckers are heavy and large - approx. 23inch long and 8 inch wide and weighs roughly the same a cantilever tool box . I have some plastic T REX 60 axels in my spares but are they strong enough for something this big ? Any thoughts guys .

Cheers Arron

How do the T Rex compare to semi trailer axles? I've got a ton and a half on the flatbed with the ali box and liftgate. I think if they're in that size range you'll be ok.

Good point Dave . I would say their basically the same as the semi ones . Hopefully they will be ok so long as I don't go to extremes ie jumps and I don't intend doing that in a camper van lol

Another question concerns what wheels and tyres to use . General opinion seems to be that the Bruiser tyres are very stiff . They might be idea in that case to cope with the weight of this . Thoughts plz guys .
