Blackfoot III build thread

Thanks to Shaggy39 i now have a blackfoot III to build. My first purchase from the club and an excellent service.

So those who are interested a blackfoot III build thread is coming over the next few days.

I have a 11T esc thrown in that i will couple with a stock anderson M5 15T motor. Will see if it all works together ok.

I also Have a pair of new hopup CVD's that I suppose I should use. No Idea on the benifits of these.

Cut the decals quite close as the clear shows on the black

It looks like they line up in the manual, but in your picture it looks like one may be wrong?.

Turns out the cvd set was wrong and for a frog so originals substituted back

Drive shafts look at an angle but checked the manual twice so must be right

I had a few attempts to get tis right so follow the manual carefully. I had to check and the body pins are removed later

Enough for today... Run out of clear coat but is looking good so far

Now what to do with the windows... Don't like the brown tint... Do I black them or use a little flip lacquer I have left hmm

i have just had a look at the driveshafts on my WR-02, (similar model but with shorter arms), they look slightly angled but it is exaggerated on yours because of the longer arms.

Metal sealed bearings - good move . Rubber seals - a even better idea if it will ever see any dirt or water ,
