TWINSET 1793 Posted January 8, 2014 I got 4 Skiers coming - they were £7.49 yesterday, which I thought was reasonable at the time, so they're going back! Will post up pics tonight... There's also the Skier with a Skidoo for £17.00 http://www.tesco.com/direct/hm-armed-forces-arctic-skidoo-figure/208-8042.prd?skuId=208-8042&fromRV=true

bromvw 744 Posted January 8, 2014 That's what I was thinking when I mentioned the HM Armed Forces figures . Because they have actual uniforms you can cut them about quite a lot and all the surgery is easily hidden . Looks like a winner at that price
JennyMo 3526 Posted January 8, 2014 Don't click this, it's awesome; http://www.asiatees.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=1161 That really is awesome - transforms the look, and makes it VERY realistic! Jx
bromvw 744 Posted January 8, 2014 I'am chucking idea's about in my head for this years builds . So far its a toss up between a On Road Lunchbox , Hybrid Scorcher or a Armed Forces Jackal on a CC-01 chassis . This has only complicated the choice as the figures look so good OH and there's the small problem of still having the Tonka Winnebago to finish lol

bromvw 744 Posted January 31, 2014 Andy , how did you get on with the Armed Forces figures mate ? Do the fit ok ?
TWINSET 1793 Posted January 31, 2014 He will - I cut around 10mm from his torso and that's left him the right height I then either have to de-butt him or scratchbuild seats as per the asiatees build, which seems like a beter option - with the seats out the driver's a pretty good fit - I'll get some pics tonight Trouble is, it's so cold in my garage at the mo, I'm kinda avoiding the place
bromvw 744 Posted January 31, 2014 I hear you on that one . My workshop is F F FER freezing . Not ideal when you have styrene work to do . Glad the figure can be made to fit as I thought they might work well . Once he's glued back together and the uniform is back on him no one will even know he's being under the knife
TWINSET 1793 Posted February 7, 2014 Started surgery on the HMAF Skier Not sure whether to take a load off his butt and thighs or change/make the seats Around 8-10mm off his torso below the ribs and a couple of mm off his neck And a bit off his lunchbox so his knees come up higher when seated
bromvw 744 Posted February 7, 2014 LOL that's brutal
