I have so many That i have to put them in plastic containers . As i live in a bus , so most are outside of the bus in the VERY big shed .

But not suited to have them displayed etc .

You can display them any way YOU want , ( I would like to make a RC hobby shop as an RC room :D < the dream . )

My man you got to dream BIG... Just look at fellow TC Member zOOter...you want to have your rc wherever you want in the house,as we are the king of our castle and you can even have a can of WD40 on the coffee table.:-D

Only your pride and joy are in a proper display case.

Well ! I don't want to even think of counting the containers & plastic draws i have full of RC .

Daves956 how many cars to a container do you have ? .

There's only one container that has chassis in it, and it has 4 of them. The rest are all parts or paint.

I only have 2 cars with the wheels off the ground and they're in a glass case to never be run. All the rest get run often enough that I don't bother.

I currently have mine on industrial racking in my man cave (the garage), although I want to put my shelf queens in glass cases to keep the dust off them. Have a look at Ikea Detolf glass cases, they won't take monster trucks but most buggys and things like the Sand Scorcher will fit:

http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/10011055/?preferedui=desktop&cid=gb%3Emw%3Efooter#/10119206

I wa sactually looking at those same display cabinets, but as far as I can work out they will not hold a standard buggy, I have also double checked with another TC member, (sorry cant remember who) who has two of these side by side in there display, and has also informed me they will not fit a Buggy, a 1/10 car maybe depending on the total length (as he had to remove the rear glass to fit some), but not a buggy alas :(

I am looking for exactly something like that if anyone has a pointer

A can of WD40 in the living room... man, that's totally priceless!!! :D

Here's the shelf I have in the TV room (I still haven't fixed the damages from the huge earthquake from 2010).

All of the cars are tied to the wall, in case I'm not home when we have another earthquake.

Check the Styrofoam blocks to keep the Clod Buster and Toyota Bruiser tires from breaking. There is also a scale boar there with the Bruiser ;):)

Maybe not a modern buggy but I've seen Rough Riders and Hornets displayed in them before now.

And thats about all you can fit in - you can't get a modern buggy , or a rally car or tourer (TA-01/TT-01/TL-01 chassis'd)

Something the size of the Frog is OK, rough rider will fit - basically short and narrow. Great for 1/12 pan cars or 1/14th/16th cars like Traxxas mini eRevo

My wife and I follow the same practice as Tipsy (although our collection isn't as big) with sets of shelves, two cars per shelf, supported on transparent plastic stands. They make a nice decorative feature in the guest room

I think if you don't use the paint caps to rack up your cars....you may be able to squeeze another roll of shelve in the shelve...you can buy more. Look honey my shelve is not full of rc...:-D

I did the next best thing. Bought more shelves :) The Ivar shelf system is almost micro adjustable for height, but needed to keep the tyres off. I have 2 more shelves. One for the other New Built (can just be seen in the photo), and one for my runners.

That is a very clean set up, no more or no less...just enough shelve to hold the RC.

I would place the bug on the 3 shelve and the FAV at the very top shelve to heavy bottom, light at top look....thats just me.

I would also secure the pig, after all it is part of the displace and you don't want to place flavour and ignore the safety of the animal.

When I built the shelf (for less than $30, by the way) I had one general idea in mind. Having painted the room white, I knew I needed the shelf to be white as well. Also, I kept in mind that the protagonists were the cars, not the shelf, so I went minimalist. I rounded the board's corners and painted the sideborders in matching white (in the photo you can see the FAV's is still unfinished).

Funny thing you mention the boar. I found it in the pool, years ago. I just left there otherwise I would have thrown it. :P

Well after watching this thread I realize I need a new place to display my cars. Anyway here is a couple of shots of how they are stored now.

I need more space for my models. Some must sleep in their boxes....

I love that glass case! I've been scratching my head figuring out my way to build one inspired on yours. Shouldn't be too expensive and looks ace. I would like to have one for the smaller buggies.

Sorted out my garage today and put all my cars on 1 unit. I can't believe that in January this year I had only 1 car, I now have 14 with a wish list as long as my arm!!
