Any TC members can comment on the Axial Jeep Wrangler / Rebecon Unlimited?

I saw it a while ago and didn't catch my fancy. Came across it again recently and i am warming up to her.

Any comments? or up grade suggestions are most welcome. I saw the option digger tranny...a good up grade? And what motor is recommended.? I have 35T on the SCX10 truck ( the truck without the full bed at the back) It crawls pretty good but a bit slow to me on level ground.

Sounds like you have an scx10 already, the Jeep is the same other than the body and it now has alum. shocks. 35T motors work good in these trucks and run good on 3S-not super fast but much faster than stock. The scx10 can be customized to no end and there is tons of parts support for them also. IMO my scx10 is my favorite in my fleet and gets run the most.

You are right. It basically a SCX10 with a dirt cover on the tranny, fancier shocks and the location of the spare tire to match the Jeep design. It should be quite capable. But than I don't need 2 SCX10. Let me think..

If you want more speed less crawling, take a look at the axial wraith. If you just want speed, they have the exo.

I like the looks of Honcho and Jeep more than Wraith and Exo. Form over function.

Went to LHS last night and saw the Jeep with the roof in kit form @US$320.00 and RTR Honcho @US$330.00, around $10.00 more .

The Jeep has 4 metal shocks and you get to build it, and to make it run,(1) add motor, (2) servo,(3) ESC, (4)radio and receiver, (5) battery, and (6) paint. But for around $10.00 more you get items (1) to (6) above included and is pay and play vs pay, built and than play. Needless to say I did not buy either as I already have a Honcho and the Jeep price does not justify the value . I will wait till the kit price for the Jeep to come down. Had I not have the Honcho already, I would go for it as the deal is just too good compare to the kit Jeep with nothing other thant he upgraded shocks.

I guess axial must have lots of Honcho.

I've got a wraith and I have two motor/esc combos I run in it.

1 is a holmes hobby crawlmaster 13T with the Holmes brxl esc. It's a great crawling motor which still has some speed.

2 is a tekin brushless motor and mmp esc. It's fast and still crawls pretty good.
