Look more like the HPI Pirelli tyre to me.

http://www.modelsport.co.uk/hpi-pirelli-t-rally-tire-26mm-d-compound-2pcs-/rc-car-products/13712

Which I have on my XV-01 and works well. The HPI ones come in 2 compounds, D is harder and more durable and S softer and better suited to softer surfaces.

If I was being really picky, as I'm a huge Group B and 90's Rally fan, you shouldn't have Pirelli tyres on a Delta as they used Michellin's. The reason they are on my S4 is that Lancia was shod with Pirelli's.

Do you have a "real" S4 or a model of a S4?

Sadly only a 1:10th scale one. But I always hopeful! Remember seeing them in the in the Dark at Donnington on the '85 RAC, awesome machines. 0-60 in 2.6s on gravel and that's nearly 30 years ago.

I know replicas are now being made in the UK.

Yes, Chinese ripoff of HPI Pirelli Rally Tires, even down to the (probably illegal) logo. Should be the same/similar quality and wear. RCMart sells them, too.

So did you ever use them?

I have not bought any yet. Of course, I had just hunted down the "real" HPI Pirellis online and paid full value for them when I stumbled upon these. If R2 Hobbies has their static body mounts back in stock, I will order some of these too and report back.

I have a set in black but still sat in their packet currently. If I had a spare set of rims I'd drop them on my electrified TG-10 to give them a test run but nothing doing currently :(

They arrived with foam inserts and quick delivery from R2hobbies Belgium warehouse - can't complain at the price really !

Sorry, forgot all about this.

So opened packet tonight.

The tyres are pretty flexible but no more so than a Tamiya slick - if anything the ribbing on the side walls of these perhaps makes then a smidgen firmer. Run your finger tip round the circumference and you can feel and hear the tread pattern moving and gripping - i think these will be superb on dusty hard terrain, and probably work well in shallow mud too. I've ordered some Tamiya rims and some foams (supplied foams are OK but i wanted to try moulded ones) so i can build these up and see how they really perform - only problem is I don't have an on-road chassis now apart from my TG10 which has a 4300kV brushless on 2S lipos - its a handful at the best of times so might not be the best test bed !

I ran a set on my TB01 rally car and they actually performed quite well on the dirt. Once they were worn down, I used them on tarmac, and found them to be fun, if not a little squirrley.

The blue looks cool!
Enjoy them

Just in case anyone was wondering I have both the S and D compounds of the HPI tyres.

Been out for a play in a gravel car park this afternoon, and on a cool Autumn day the softer S Compound is obviously more grippy on my XV-01. Lost the back end a lot loss, but did have to be careful of rolling the car if it got sideways as the tyres were much better at biting into the gravel.

Well I popped in a Tamiya black motor in my rally and it was right after it barely showered rain on the ground and the street was damp and with the blue tires with the black motor it was a blast!

I could get the rear to slid out around turns it was fun I like the tires on the street because of there squishy deep lug pattern it lets your car slide out instead of flipping over.
