Input for my next restoration project

As i will finish the Avante soon, i have started to think about my next restoration project. A Dyna Storm has always been on my wish-list but i just missed an excellent deal due to too long hesitation and i have looked for an SRB Rough Rider but they seem to be very popular these days and go for alot of money, even in very poor condition so now i am looking at an original frog chassis but i do not have any experience with this type. I know the Brat and the Frog are based on it but is it worthwhile looking at that one or should i wait for a Dyna Storm or an affordable SRB afterall?

I dunno, but something tells me it is just a matter of time for you to get into all three. This thing with Tamiya cars works like that. "I'll restore this one" and after that you'll be thinking on another one. And then you stop and look around and all you'll see is Tamiya cars everywhere you look at, haha.

Seriously, go for the SRB. Those cars are just incredible. Lousy runners, but so incredibly scale! Then try the ORV. I like the Brat better than the Frog but the choice is yours. And only then the Dyna Storm.

Same as what Mongoose1983 said you will never have enough of them you will eventually have both of them & even more... A lot of people can relate to that...

Agree with what has been said, in Jan this year I had 1 car, I've just bought my 15th (yes you read that correctly). I have a serious habit of buying new projects when I've still got others on the go ha ha

Yes, i know exactly what you mean. I am constantly restraining myself. I started 2 years ago restoring my original Hornet that i recovered from the attic of my parents place. The Avante is my 9th restoration project in the mean time but i have already sold 4.

Fact is though, i only want restoration projects. I bought a brandnew CC-01 Wrangler jeep but after i assembled it, i lost all interest so i decided, no more new kits, only restoration challenges and i keep cost under control. I will only buy restoration projects at reasonable prices. My TF was 50 Euro, my Manta Ray was 50 Euro, my Avante was 50 Euro, my TA04R was 50 Euro and the car that has costed me most is my Avante 2001 which i swapped for the brandnew CC-01 kit.

In any case, i am looking and whatever comes by first at reasonable price, i will buy. Do regret not having bought the Dyna Storm for a measle 60 Euro
