Earlier this evening I spied a large cardboard box wif a Muddlesport sticker on it, hidden at the back of my wife's side of the closet. I think "Santa" may have picked up on my hints! :)

I am going to get in trouble for this one so appologies in advance. As I already have a Egress, so I bagged a re-re RC10.

But I definitely would have had an Egress over the RC10 if I didn't already have a mint shelfer.

What I dream of is Tamiya re-releasing the Mountaineer before Xmas, that would be the best gift ever.

James.

I bought my self a massive Christmas present last week with a large price tag.....gulp.

It will arrive from Germany next week from a fellow T.C member.

I better sell some cars to make a special space for it.

Is it the 1:1 Sand Scorcher?

Sadly not the real deal! When I say 'massive' I mean 1/10 scale!

The 'Big Price' tag is more down to this being the most I've spent on a single model and relative to the socks I usually get!!

A good time of year to revive this thread I think.

I am torn between a Wild One, a limited-edition Grasshopper, or a bunch of parts to finish and/or enhance existing projects.

What is making its way onto your wish list this year?

Would you get the green limited edition grasshopper if you could track one down? If you go for a wild one Tamico do a great deal of about £108 delivered with an esc included. That's what I'm getting :) .

I have tracked one down, but I am trying to work out how special it really is. As far as I can make out, it is just a normal Grasshopper with green paint. No special decals or hop-ups or anything. If this is the case, I could make my own with a standard Grasshopper and a tin of TS-52. However some sources say the body itself is moulded in green, in which case it would be something special - special enough to make it more desirable (to me at any rate) than a Wild One.

If I do go for a Wild One, I shall be sure to let "Santa" know about the Tamico deal. :)

I don't see me buying anything, but if it was for a Christmas wish list, I would like to have the original manuals missing in my collection (Clod Buster, Big Wig, Avante, Subaru Brat, and Rough Rider). Oh, and the missing bits on my vintage Avante would be nice, too! (rear halfshafts & drive cups).

Edit: Now I remember... I have a complete body-less chassis waiting for a vintage Sand Rover body... It would be awesome if I could come across one to restore. "Dear Santa, if you're reading this", LOL.

Well, I have one for sale but shipping to NZ might cost nearly as much as a plane ticket.

Think I missed this?

which size 1/32 1/24 1/12 1/1?

Obviously 1:1 and RC... *brrrrrrmmmmmm....* crash!

I've picked out my Christmas wish list from CPE but as I'm travelling out of town I have to wait till mid January to place the order. Kangaroo Island, South Australia is a beautiful place to spend my holidays but the suspense will no doubt be building rather drastically until I get home :P

I'm in a bit of a mess this year, normally I get a couple of kits and build them over xmas. I have issues this year with getting any more kits until I've cleared the back log of unfinished builds. (5nr unfinished!).

That said, I find it really difficult to justify spending money on upgrades because the cost of them relative to kits makes them poor value and therefore much harder to warrant the cost. Problem is I've bought some top end kits this year with lots of associated costs for hop ups and radio gear and taking my time to build them, not a couple of day jobs like the others.

I'm struggling not to add that Tamico Wild One to my Warenkorb at the moment, thanks for that heads up lol!!

I should be getting the twin brushless setup for the WT01, just struggling with a gpm shock tower at the moment.

Cheers

I already got my Xmas gift back in August: a Les Paul Studio guitar. It's "only" an Epiphone, but I absolutely love it. Always wanted one, and it does not disappoint. So likely no RC stuff for me this year... except maybe a set of tires for my upocoming Fox project.

Though my wife did mention the other day how much she enjoyed our "his & hers" Lunchbox build-a-thon a few years ago. Might be time to pick out another cheap kit to get a pair of... maybe on-road this time...

On my wishlist, there are lots of accessories for Proxxon and Bosch tools. Also, I try to avoid buying anything from DIY stores, as I expect getting vouchers and have given hints to family members of what small tools I could use for hobby and home improvement.
