I have recently re opened my ecommerce store that is primarily focused to the preservation of the vintage three speeds and I have a question on an inventory item.

for more than a decade, I offered stainless steel screws in a kit form but I think that the demand may have changed while I was away on sabbatical.

my question is this.

would you prefer:

1) stainless steel screws with button head tops and self locking nuts (big seller for me for more than 10 years)

2) OEM style screws that would have issued with the original kit.

thanks in advance for you comments.

If I am restoring my original model than option 2 would be the way to go for me.

If i am running and maintaining the model, than option 1 would be for me and as confirmed that was your big seller for 10+ years.

I think Tamiya sold quite a bit of the 3spd re release so I would stay with 1 for your production run.

I think the current trend would lean towards option 2 with the oem style hardware. Is it not possible to do a choice, or would you rather just stock one style?

I bought one of your kits many years ago. And still own and run the truck. Very comprehensive and as stainless I have no rust issues (used in water so important for me) if I was restoring my truck back to original then I would want to use original tamiya. If you could do the gold/yellow plated original screws I think you would be onto a winner. I don't see the point of stainless original style screws for a shelfer.

Definitely option 2 for me.

As an aside, I really like your shift gate and am going to order one. I did wnat to know though whether you make a gate for the steering control with just a single groove thus eradicating the up/down movement of most 4 channel transmitters (does that make sense?)

Same I have a FP T4L sitting here that needs a Bruiserbuilder shift gate and I have had one in my ebay watchlist for the longest time. Should really get onto restoring my bruiser.

njmLondon, I did make a run of them 6 or 7 years ago and it took years to sell a very short run of them.

Ill look through my old stock to see if I have one straggler hanging around.

Berman, pick up the gate from my store instead of ebay.

That would be great. Please PM me if you do!
