Cheetah restoration question

Restoring an old cheetah and wonder if someone knows if the Y6 should be painted black? It's the pressed metal part that holds the front bumper. I even have the manual but it still riddles me. The separate parts list shows the part in bare metal. In the catalogue pic it looks black. Mine is black but the paint is in a poor state. Hope to find out if I need to paint it again or just remove paint and polish it a bit.

The metal plate on my Cheetah is black and I have a few old ones and they are all black

Thank you for the clarification! Hard too find good pics and the manual isn't that good (although it's nice to read;) The Y6 is now polished and painted

Aaaarrgh!

Missing some nuts, no big deal if the cheetah used metric screws and nuts... Anyone knows where to find those brass(?) nuts?

Also the torsion bars broke definitively so I need to convert into metal bars. I have everything I need except for 2 of the E10 parts (xr311 re-re). Already bought one E-tree to get a new upright. Would rather not buy another just for these tiny bits...

Anyone knows what size the brass nuts are? Thought they were 4-40 so I ordered some. Wrong size:(
