M Chassis Wheels - How to find them?

Recommended Posts

This may sound like a dumb post but I am new to the M cars. My sister has an M02L and I just got one for a project. I wanted to keep the parts bin the same so I got the same car. Problem is, I hate the wheels mine came with (used). They are standard sedan wheels. I went on eBay to look for alternative choices but I did not know how to search. I tried "tamiya m wheels", "Tamiya m01 (through 06) wheels" and honestly didnt find many. Is there a size I should look for? I know with the TA02 and FF01 (im old school), its as hard as typing 1/10 touring car wheel to get about 3 million options.

On top of that, you remember those clear hop up shocks that tamiya used to sell? I cant find them at all. In fact, I cant seem to find any thing in a pair for the this thing. I know i'm doing something stupid.

The wheels I need are this size:

These are the shocks im talking about:

Have you checked RCMart? You can get a bunch of different ones there including the original Tamiya ones. Look under Wheels and Tires and then M-Chassis.

49467 Tamiya M-Chassis 11-Spoke Wheels (4pcs)

50972 mini cooper (4pcs)

51334 Tamiya Mini Cooper S 2006 Wheels (4pcs)

About shocks, it seems a couple of Tamiya super mini CVA oil filled shocks in limited edition (clear cylinder and cap)

Seconded. This is where I have bought almost all of mine...they have Tamiya, Kawada, etc., in the M-Chassis section. Google "m-chassis wheels" for other providers, but RC Mart seems to have the best selection. Of course, you can also use standard 1/10 wheels on an M-chassis, it just may not look as scale in some applications and cause higher COG/traction rolls at high speed. See my sig for 1/10s on an M04L beetle.

some M02Ls came std with fullsize wheels not mini ones... eg the Carrera & 986 Boxster, SLK230

S2000 & M coupe had big wheels on M04Ls

oooh... Hope they're not "MX60" size...?

HPI's MX60 is a unique size bigger than T's m-chassis standard rim.

Needs bigger tyres that HPI only make.
