I emailed them with a question and they replied within a few hours, not to bad I think.

Always had to wait at least a day for response. Usually 2-3 days. Can't say that I mind that much though, unless it was a quote I'd be asking for. Can't say I have much patience when the decision to buy is made ;)

I reckon they are probably a very busy company, the amount of people that know about them and their low prices on everything. If your cart goes over 1kg then the shipping cost spikes because it can't go SAL. I almost ordered some Tamiya motors but they weighed too much for my latest order :(

Well what can I say about banzai apart from amazing service. I ordered my kit and parts on Friday it was all dispatched on Monday and it all arrived this morning.

Wow what did you get and what was the price. I was thinking of ordering a madbull but haven't setup an account yet. Can't see shipping until I have an account.

Buying the cheaper kits from HK generally isn't worth the trouble. Shipping costs plus the risk of import taxes often means more expensive than buying locally.

I got a DB01 Durga kit and a few extras, Shipping can add up on larger stuff but three days to get to me from Japan its worth the money.

Just ordered a Shark Mouth FAV from them (my Xmas pressie off the missus) and it came to £82 delivered which is £40 cheaper than anywhere in the UK. I've put a note on the order to mark the value at ¥3,000 so hopefully I will avoid customs charges too.

£18.50 for an FAV  I would have gone for something more like £35 to £40 that way, Customs won't be quite so suspicious  You will have to pay something but not as much as the fine if they decide to 'choose' a value.

Well sold a few bits so ordered a MadBull - not exactly a sophisticated kit, but looks a heap of fun and at $55 plus $11 for a sport tuned motor i couldn't resist :D

Wow, just checked the tracking status of my FAV and as of this morning it's at my local Parcelforce depot being loaded onto the van for delivery! Considering I only ordered it late Wednesday night that's amazing! On the flip side, I'm still waiting for an order from a well known UK based seller that I placed 2 weeks ago!

You guys seem to cost me money :)

Was just looked up on banzai's website,

Signed in to a new account to check shipping etc.

Was checking for the price on a few kits with shipping, was curious on a tank kit.

Put a few cheap wheels and bits in the basket, and went to pay.

Made the payment with paypal. (all costs were In Japanese yen at this time)

Then realised that the leopard full option tank was on the order. DOH

Looks like I will be getting a tank after all lol

That's quite something to 'find' in your basket, or is this you rehearsing your story when you re-tell it to the Mrs come delivery day?!....

Still waiting on my last Banzai order. Never had a problem before going with the cheap postage option, just hoping it gets here so I can continue with the FAV build...

Maybe you should have taken ukfox's lead and 'accidentally' ordered a kit along with the small bits to get the super fast delivery option

It was a genuine mistake.

The leopard kit is the most expensive Tamiya kit I know of.

I am awaiting an egress from stella, and at this time of year I really cant/ shouldn't buy another expensive kit

I have emailed banzai to see if they can remove it from the order.

If they cant remove it, I will have to rearrange funds to cover everything else I need to buy before xmas.

Those tanks do look lovely tho ;)

Eek! Just looked at how much the Leopard kit costs, that's some mistake mate. If what people have been saying about Banzai's customer service is true though you should be fine, just hope they haven't sent it yet. Have you had your despatch email yet?

Not had a dispatch email.

and not had a reply to my email either.

Have been googling the leopard kit, sure looks lovely and would be a great build.

To be honest, I wouldn't mind it if they did send it.

(just means I need to do a few more hours overtime)

Well 3 working days later and my order has arrived! Only problem is that I stupidly got it send to my home address so it's now sat at the local post office. Oh well, roll on Saturday when I can go and pick it up.
