Yoi 100% right. Me too send them many mails for the past weeks and only they replied yesterday but what, after I opened a dispute ( which I didnt want to at all )..

Probably u will get mail from them soon!.

Fingers crossed man, they've never been an issue before.

Actually thinking about it, I've actually emailed them 3 times in the past regarding stock levels and orders and to date, have never had a reply, ever. So while their normal service is fast and reliable, their support sucks.

If the holidays are an issue at the moment for them, a simple standard email that is copy and pasted saying 'due to a huge increase in orders, there maybe a delay of up to two weeks' would suffice, at least that would put mine, yours and many other peoples minds to rest. Even if they updated their order database with that comment on all ourstanding orders, that'd work too.

Simple customer service goes a long way.

They've had a message on their website about Xmas closures and since returning about the large backlog of orders they are working through

My Tamiya Hornet order placed mid December arrived literally on Christmas eve, so around 10 days. Not bad during this peak time.

I had no problems communicating with them. Overall happy with the service times of dispatch.

The Hornet box arrived damaged inside the cardboard carton, contents ok. I put this down to Xmas handling by the posties. As this is going to be a runner. I wasn't too upset not having a mint box. Was I expecting packaging as good as Stella or Dinball (RC mart) ? probably not as they are hard to beat in this department. If this high level of packing was used would my kit have been mint still, hard to say as it was knocked around a bit.......Was the 40% saving advertised on the website worth it? Well it didn't include an ESC ( Japanese edition) so overall it it would work out the same price as other sellers for the Hornet kit (by time i purchased an ESC $20-$30), plus postage was a bit more with the EMS only option.

The above was my first order experience with Bandai.

I would still order again from them as they have a good selection and some of the kits were a very good price ie Sand scorcher. I was going to order this but decided to reign in my spending for the time being over Xmas and get the cheaper Hornet. I will probably wait until February until i place my next order with them

I was getting a bit concerned but as I was reading peoples replies just now, in can a notification from them :D My order has been picked up by the courier and is on its way. Faith is once again, restored

I imagine the Chinese suppliers will be similar at the end of Jan for the Chinese New Year, my local takeaway shuts for 2 weeks at CNY which is most annoying as it's by far the best for miles!

I'm confused now.

My Egress order (the last of my three orders) has just been dispatched, the but the order that is all messed up (my first order from weeks ago) is still doing nothing. I wish they'd sort it out, its just £370 wasted so far. Come on Banzai, sort it out!

Hmm. Last week I ordered a few kits from them that showed in stock, and I just received notices that these orders are canceled and the money refunded. I'm glad they have followed through with the refund, but I wish the inventory on their website was accurate. Makes me wonder if I'll get the order for parts I just placed yesterday.

I just dropped another parts order their way - two Tamiya hop-ups for the price of one at UK prices.

I just hope they have the M-05 kit that i now have rather a lot of hop-ups for

Wow really? I've been waiting for a refund for over a week and half now, still no response. Grrrr. I guess all their orders are just screwed up.

I used them for the first time ever just after new year, ordered a kit and it arrived a week later in uk,

I did get stung for customs though :(

Very happy, shark attack FAV for £109 all in, postage and customs...

Hope you guys all get your money back.....

I wanted to order a shell and a few small parts but shipping is quite expensive for what it is, I'm also a little concerned customs will take another chunk out of my wallet. What can I expect them to take when the value of the parts is just under £30?

They will take 20% of value, inc postage... Plus a fixed fee of £13.5 (probably their Christmas club fund)

Response for OP-

Personally, I like Banzai and the fast shipping they provide at no extra cost. Purchased some TRF parts 5 or 6 months ago, and got the package to my front door in 4 days after placing order.

You're funny. I guess I'm a little tired and my post was misleading. What I was saying is, I've placed three orders from Banzai and was never dissapointed with service/shipping.

Checked the status of my parts order today. A delivery was sent with about 70% of the parts; the items out of stock have been refunded. I ordered everything on the basis of it being in stock per their site. I think my conclusion is the prices are ok, but it's a roll of the dice whether it's really in stock or not.

So do these guys still work out for buying something small like a couple of sport tuned and a shock set? would customs be interested in small packs? Sport tuned are only £6 each so even with post the saving is huge.

Posted

Small packages largely go unnoticed , and a few sport tuned motors will dip under the £18 customs threshold. I dare say you'd be ok adding some shocks too as banzai value will be low.

I had my first experience of buying with these guys just before Christmas. Their customer service was first class, they responded quickly to my messages and were very friendly & polite.

My only reservation about buying with them again is the way in which they attach an invoice, with a detailed description of the contents, to the outer box instead of simply filling in the customs label with a vague description of what is inside. This is what all of the other Asian sellers do, and it gives you a much better chance of beating customs charges. With Banzai doing it their way though, this means that when they attach an invoice with the value lowered but the contents accurately declared you are just begging to have your parcel fully inspected....which is exactly what happened to my item. My Wild One fell victim to what is known in the trade as a "Customs Raid" whereby they requested that I send all of the correct documentation as proof of my purchase. In the end I only had to pay the correct VAT plus Parcelforce handling fee but the parcel took an additional two weeks to arrive on top of the normal 7 to 10 days delivery time.

I did ask Banzai why they do this but the answer was vague, to say the least. I also asked them if they would not attach an invoice if I bought from them again and they said they would look into it. The next time you buy from them I strongly recommend that you ask them to leave the invoice off and just fill in the customs label

Argh, wish you had posted this an hour ago Wandy lol just ordered my birthday present from Banzai. Guess I will just have to play the waiting game now and see if I get hit and if so how hard. I would have ordered from Stella but as of late they don't seem to have the kits I fancy in stock.

You probably still have time to send them a PM mate.
