This is a real longshot but worth a try . RC4WD used to make a dual motor transmission that I belief was known as the V2 HD .

It was a dual motor set up intended for large scale 4x4 crawlers . Although I might well be fitting twin motor gearbox units to a project I would ideally like to use one of these . After weeks on google and ebay I can't track one down anywhere though .

Any leads / links would be really helpful . If by any remount chance you have one of these knocking about in your parts stash or have a mate or even a mate of a mate who has one let me know .

Chances are the best hunting ground will be in the USA but i'll consider whatever is available .

They make an aluminum motor and gear case for a TXT. Couple that to a RC4WD 2 speed and then a transfer case would get you what your talking about. It would mean custom driveshafts and your final drive ratio would be totally different and a rethink of the gearboxes and motors would be next. My best guess is between 5 and 600 dollars to pull that off. Or you could switch out the brushed motors for sensored brushless 4 poles and then get your top speeds through voltage not gear changes. That is if top speed was the goal on this.

There are twin motor boats too, but it's pretty much the same deal.

5-600 bucks ! Sod that for a lark . Back to the drawing board

I could make you one from scratch for half that, at 10 times the strength and only 2.5 times the weight ;)

You can build a TXT box from new parts for £50-£60 (Jason usually stocks the bits) or an E-Maxx box for £25-£30 (sourcing from USA). The Maxx box also has a 2-speed option.

I'm in danger of falling into the old trap here . By over thinking the design i'am over complicating it . KEEP IT SIMPLE - STUPID  .

Two cheap motor/ gearbox units and a couple of off the peg drive shafts will adequately do the job . Maybe not the best solution but this started out as a low cost fun project . Time to focus on that again .
