As some of you have seen, My son Bryant has his Falcon in my showroom. http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.asp?cid=10620&id=34 Now there is really nothing great about his buggy but it is very special to him. Everytime I am at home and on Tamiya club, he asks to see how many people have looked at his car

So what I am asking is if you have some time. Click the link above. this will increase the number of showroom views. And if your so inclined, leave him a comment about his buggy. I am sure this will jazz him up.

Thanks guys

No probs Jim - have left a couple of words for yer boy [:)]

It's great to see the younger generation getting fun from the cars, trucks and buggies. My son Matt (9) has loads of fun blasting my Frog round the garden, and his own TL01 round the car-park over the road. Long may it continue. Cheers. David

Hi Jerry, yes your comment came through. Thanks for the encouraging words. we decided to buy it on that date in celebration of your wedding aniversary [:D]

David- thanks for the kind words. Bryant is actually a pretty good driver. I have even let him drive my mountaineer while I filmed. I think getting kids interested in this kind of stuff is the best thing to do. It keeps them occupied and away of other negative influences in life

I left him a comment.

I got back into RC because of my son. He was 4 at the time and I surprised him with a new Traxxas Stampede (and a VW beetle for myself). I'm surprised at how quickly he picked up the ability to drive the car. He's 5 now and has a Losi XXCR and a XB TL01 Lightning in addition to the Stampede.

We started racing this summer at a local track. Alot of fun. Something I would never have done without him. He's pretty good for a little kid. He's able to put up a respectable number of laps in a 5 minute race, occasionally beating an adult or 2 in the novice racing class. His best is 14 laps on a track where 19 laps is a very good number and only 1 person has ever scored 20.

Right now, I'm going over my car inventory to find someting suitable for indoor carpet racing as it appears that outdoor racing is over for the winter.

He's still too young to understand the concept of money, saving for and buying things. As all of his cars are red, he has come to expect that any car with red on it is his. He really wants a T-MAXX, but I don't want anything nitro until he (and his little brother) are much older.

Comment of course are great to a young kid (hope you received mine) and I don't want to interfere with your education to him but wouldn't it be better for him learn that his car is special because of him and his dad and that numbers aren't important in life, instead of building illusions? (except if he is very young?)

Cheers

Quite disagree, this car is special because we have all been looking at it, and I am pretty sure that next year there will be a few of us still remembering this particular car.

It is also special because we would all like to have the driver that comes bundled with it... I do personnally have sweet illusion regarding proper drivers of that kind for my own cars:)

I wanted to say thanks for all of you who have taken a look at his car. He was happy to see all of the comments. At first he thought I was just trying to get him to read which he sometimes hates. Once he saw that the comments were directed toward him, he was more enthusiastic. so far his car has been veiwed 399 times. now that it is in the have you seen section he will get more views.

Now I have opened up a can of worms. He wants to take some new photos of it. I told him that we will clean it up. Put some more stickers on the body. I have a set of JPS aluminum wheels for it that we can put on for the photos. So this weekend we will have a project together

If I could give one bit of advice.... an ounce of prevention goes a long way. I noticed that it still has the old MSC in it. I just have these memories of watching the MSC get stuck and send those little cars to their doom. My hornet was able to find the underside a car due to that little ****** welding itself on. That was with the 540 motor as well.
