Can anyone tell me if there are Tamiya/third party bodies that will fit an MB?

The clown that painted mine used concrete, i think! [8)]

You can use the blitzer beetle shell, its slightly different, in that the sunroof has a hole in for the arial pipe, other than thats its basically the same.

Funnily enough.....I have one for sale, its brand new, I only have the shell and the driver/sunroof tree(still in its packet), it needs the chrome, nose cone and glas, all of which are interchangeable with the MB. I also have an uncut unpainted lexan shell that will fit too, this is basically a mold of the whole car.

gb99's proposal sounds great, but just as a thought why don't you have a search through the forum (search link at the top right of this page) and look for 'stripping hard bodies'. There is a wealth of info and discussion, and you might find something that helps you to strip the shell you've got (if it's intact and has all the 'bits'). HTH. David

I think I just bought a Blackfoot that also came with a Monster Beetle body. I might be able to sell it, but I suggest I first get it before I start promising... [] It's on my way as we speak.

Getting money together is a lil hard for me, so i'll prolly try to resurrect the shell i've got.

Nail polish remover works okay, but it's still an *** to get the paint off.

Couldn't find any 'easy off' oven cleaner!

I never found any easy off oven cleaner in UK, but i have used the foam oven cleaner from Lidl (cheapest I could find []) and it works great.

there is a website that makes alot of aftermarket shells. like dalhms or dahms. i will try to find it. http://www.dahms-intl. com.

i really do need to invest in a new mb shell aswell, mines got a nose made from filler and fibreglass, and duk tape, and super glue, and metal, and ..........[]

i would get a new one, but i cant be asked!
