New wheelie models: 58586 Tumbling Bull & 84373 VW T1 Wheelie Custom

58586 Tumbling Bull (WR-02G) (same chassis as the Farm King)

84373 VW T1 Wheelie Custom (WR-02) (variation of 58512)

(Model names not yet fully verified)

Is it a Mad Bull (Grasshopper II) body on a wheelie chassis?!

I mean, that angular body on an absurdly short wheelbase... and that is where similarities with the Lancia Stratos ends!

Like this? Surely not! But then Tamiya is known for re-using parts from other kits, and they did bring out the Farm King, so oddball designs are nothing new either.

I have a feeling it will be something different though - they are also known for bringing out models where the name has nothing to do with the car itself. Take the Landfreeder for example...

... That does look slightly unsavoury, come to think of it, but again would not be surprising. But is the goofiness there?

If they shortened the buggy nose, effectively removing the bit with the cutouts for the front shock towers, it could work. A short stumpy buggy body on a short stumpy chassis might have a high enough goof factor...

A wheelie bulldozer would be cool, the question is whether a bulldozer with rubber tires and no tracks would look good or not, even as a caricature.

My 2 year old son is an expert on all things Dozer related and apparently if it has wheels it is a Digger! If this is a Bulldozer/Digger then I will have to get one for him!
