To me, this commercial epitomizes the 1st half of the 80's decade:

I don't remember this dreadful ad from back in the day, did it get played in the UK?

Anyway, I cannot believe that Jacko allowed possibly his greatest ever song to be debased like this just to promote a fizzy drink. But then again, maybe I can....

I guess he has a lot to answer for in the contribution to the commercialization of just about everything in today's society.

I don't remember that ad at all, I do remember him having a massive deal with Pepsi though, I'm sure he earned a lot of money from it!

The only add that sums up the 80's for me (and is permanently etched into my brain) went...

"Wholebeefpattyspecialsaucelettacecheesepicklesonionsonasesameseedbun...Wholebeefpattyspecialsaucelettacecheesepicklesonionsonasesameseedbun...Wholebeefpattyspecialsaucelettacecheesepicklesonionsonasesameseedbun. At McDonalds we've got time for you..."

Kinda ironic that it's the one thing McDonalds doesn't have for anyone.
