Just checked at kmrcshop.com and the chassis conversion is out of stock.

I haven't seen that conversion available for years ...............

I have a great big chunky Scanner servo in my DF03, loads of room. There are certain parts of the bell crank you can file away to get more steering.

Its the size of the brushless esc's which can be the problem, my Turnigy Trackstar 100amp has to go on its side.

the way the servo is mounted in car you really arent going to save any room with different brands.

as for chassis, yea most have been out of stock... the 3racing one is..idk..yea just that lol.

the saving grace is the 3R shock towers and braces are great for this car (I suppose you can't screw those up too badly),wishful thinking that it equates to their chassis being the same

so i have good news and bad news....

2nd race night on the car is in the books. i qualified 4th in the A and finished 3rd but i broke the chassis... it broke at the top plate where it mounts to the chassis itself. it was still drivable but it flexes alot. it needs to be fixed. jb weld??? idk

also broke a rear hub... but it didnt break all the way through.

Just a quick question do the std Dark Impact wheels fit on the DF 03MS. I'm looking to get a spare set of wheels from HK (cheap as chips) but no stock of the std MS wheels.

There sure is .......... :o

But now some UK sellers are offering free postage :D that then makes the prices very good.

I use Tony's Tamiya parts on eBay. With the hike in shipping costs from over sea's, his prices are now a lot more reasonable :D

Very fast posting, usually get the parts the next day :D

There's such a big difference in price between UK and HK retailers.

Not just HK sellers either - todays arrival was a set of the Avante 2011 bonus wheels, aka orange DF-03 wheels - £17 delivered from the US.

For some reason the black wheels are cheaper than the white in UK - europro is pretty competitive on the black, less so on the white. Difficulty is finding both front and rear sets from same HK sellers to keep postage under control

The black wheels are classified as kit standard wheels and the white ones are actually listed as an optional part, probably hence why they add more ££ onto the price :(

Wow there really is not much holding that front gearbox assembly to the main tub :( A Carbon lower plate would def help, although an upper plate would IMO be too much, not a fan of an ultra stiff buggy. I like a it of flex in my setup's, thats what I liked about my TRF502, you could adjust the top plate to have a wee bit of flex in it. :)

I've seen a hop up by GPM for the front gearbox to chassis attachment.

The alloy shock towers do not help, Carbon Fibre ones are better for racing B)

Plus that is a very common place for a standard chassis to break, seen it a lot :o

What alloy chassis plate ??? Looks like a front lower gearbox mount from GPM ......

also what is the best way to combat that chassis breakage problem?

The lower front gearbox mount is made by GPM, I have one. Never seen the one you speak of.

The only carbon chassis available to buy is the one from 3Racing, but its pants. :o

I have the alloy battery door from Yeah Racing, it stiffens up the plastic chassis nicely.

But I use my long wheel base chassis from Mono.

i have the battery door too but it crimps my battery wires so i didnt use it. if you search df03 on ebay you see the lower gearbox mount i bought.

if this is a common breakage point i cant believe people havent found a way to fix it other then buying the carbon chassis.
