what's VAT on GBP900k :o

Ebay prices usually include VAT, so the price is £750,000 + £150,000 VAT (assuming VAT is charged at the normal 20%). If the buyer is VAT registered they'll probably be able to claim the VAT back.

OK, it's starting to sound cheap, lets have a TC whip round.

What kits should we make?

Why import? I hear the weather in Spain is much better!

Would have to be a cheap, strong and fit standard wheelbase bodies, wheels etc.Kind of price range that could be a whim purchase RTR.One main thing it needs to have,is the ability to look like it could do 100mph sat on the shelf, with great box art!

I wonder how much money all of their machinery cost when added up? It could be the bulk of the cost of the business. One CNC machine could cost half a million depending on the machine.

Definitely 'Killer' Fox copies and aftermarket SRB parts! :P

I wonder if we could collectively raise enough money for such an endeavour...

Machines are cheap compared to the expertise & know how to work them.

Used antiquated machines are barely worth their weight in scrap metal.

But these days there's no $$ to be made just by churning out your own parts,

just contract a Chinese manufacturer to make exactly what you want for less.

Portugal, Italy, Greece and Spain... not exactly the most favourable economics to try making money, are they?

Could be cheaper in Slovakia... setup shop right next to Dr Hudy ^_^
