I recently picked one up from my local hobby shop along with a few feet of dust. It was mostly complete and what was not there I was able to replace with parts from other models. What I am wondering is just how rare is the Sassy Chassis for these trucks? Mine has one along with the bell crank. Due to the age I have a feeling there were not that many made and I would like to have an idea as to the rarity. If you have any info about it please share.

First of all, welcome to the Club! :)

Sassy chassis are not cheap. The most common are the ones they've made for the Clod Buster/BullHead monster trucks. I can't mention a price for what you have on that King Cab, but you're right, they're not easy to find. So congrats on your find. One thing I'm sure: if you decide to sell the truck (or the chassis, for that matter), I don't see it selling for peanuts. ;)

I hope you share some pictures of your find with us.

Thanks for the welcome.

And I don't plan on selling it or care all that much about price. Just curious as to how rare it is. From what I can tell it was a parking lot basher and has quite a few miles on it. Because of this the plastics are not all that great. And the body is gone so I will have to track one down eventually. One of the diff outputs was also missing but luckily the shop had some for a TL-01 that made a good replacement. I then replaced the dog bones with some Hot Bodies ones and threw in some spare electronics. Its a runner but needs some tlc. The screws need to be replaced and the chassis needs a good scrubbing. Its not much to look at but I will try to get some pictures up.

Thanks.

And the low riding stadium trucks are not my style either. But this was hard to pass up for the price. After a good cleaning and some part swapping it should look much better.

Because you never drove them. If you drive it you want it.

To be honest, I never liked these Stadium trucks, but have to admit yours look literally SASSY! ;):D

It's mindboggling you'd come with such remark. ^_^

You're WRONG, because I actually ran the Monster Hilux countless times back in 1992-1994. My buddy Armando had that truck, which was much more expensive than my humble Midnight Pumpkin. And unlike my truck, Armando had a Futaba ESC and bearings in it. The truck was fast and a reliable as a runner, sure thing, but even back in the day I never cared for performance over the actual looks of the cars.

It was not an accusation, I only understood from your words that you never drove them.

Sorry if I touched you.

We're hobby buddies, Max. No problem between us!

Sometimes written words doesn't "sound" like spoken, and I am very sorry if I sounded touched.

As I said, we're all buddies here and there is NO problem. ;):)
