Not all accidents go badly. I was looking at the lights for the king hauler and there are a bunch of them. I normally do all my own light sets but couldn't find enough LEDs for this one. While at the Crawl Space (local crawler shop) looking at dress up items for a truck I stumbled on something I needed by accident. There were 2 lighting sets for crawlers in there. Both by RC4WD and the price was less than I could have purchased the bulbs for. First was a Z-E0016 with 12 lights and no on off switch. Second was a Z-E0019 with 10 lights and an on off switch. The 12 light set had more than enough of the small T1 size to make it work and the price of 16 US made it a go.

Putting them in the roof lights was a trick but easily doable. I did a separate light set for the chassis lighting so it could come apart easy later on. This left 2 clear and 1 red lights unused so I just taped them inside the cab but didn't cover them. When I tried it out the left over lights lit up the cab interior and made the tinted glass so you could see through it. So I put the dash and seats in since they now can be seen.

I wasn't planning on even mentioning this model again but the lighting issue was worth passing on. Here's a picture and it shows the interior, Ya I know....fix up the interior walls of the cab is on my to do list.

Love the blue you used on your king. The gold in the decals compliments it. You've got to get some outdoor shot at dusk and really show off those lights

Running it around in the dark is pretty cool. I didn't really pick the blue but it does look good. This was an unfinished never run shelf queen put up for sale at a price I couldn't refuse.

Nice looking Truck... I love LED's... I usually make mine all up myself as they are pennies... But the GT Power kit I used on my truck was cheap (£15) and very good.

The light set I used was meant for a mojave RC4WD body but since that's a bruiser or hilux clone this set would be ideal for either of those as well.

While I was shopping for LEDs I picked up the other RC4WD set mentioned and an Eflight set with a switching power system run on a single channel. Those will be used in the near future because I like LEDs too. :D
