Hi all,

Maybe I have dreamed but Tamiya have created one body of citroën 2cv, Isn't?

What's the number of this item?

Kind Regards,

Carson does a 2CV bodyshell to fit 257mm wheelbase touring cars. IMO it looks ugly because it's completely streched out of proportion to fit the chassis. See for yourself. [;)]

I have to agree, they are ugly, seriously under-powered and you freeze when driving one. BUT.... In The summer they can be great fun, take the roof off, fill it with girls and drive about.

You don't need to slow down for speed bumps and when on the motorway you get the funniest looks when they are 'wound up' a decent one will do 85mph (Scary)

A guy I know has fitted a 1220cc flat 4 motor from a Citroen GSA and it flies.

For added realism, Carson should include a set of very soft springs with the body, for that real 2CV feeling... [}:)]

the fun and most good thing about those french cars, they will dissipear from the earth by itselve.

Long Live The Corosion Gods's !!! <evil grin>

, and no, i am not attempting to make this a "what country makes the crappy'est cars contest!"

But, i must say.. the only decent production car the frensh made is the clio V6 [:P]

The germans build to last, but they should stay away from building motorcycles [:o)]

The british, o well, landrover he! [^]

The dutch... well, they did make some decent trucks

And the USA.. mmm, they should build only engines and put those in the british cars.

Hey, that would be perfect:

German chassis

British design

USA engine

And the frensh ... ehhmm, they do the catering ?

now, it is bed time for me :)

Sorry Stefan but I mostly disagree... [:D]

German cars: Great overall package but usually boring

French cars: Great handling and confort but reliabilily problems

Italian cars (how could you forget them together with Japanese ones[:0]): Great motors, handling and design but reliabilily problems² [:P]

Japanese cars: Great reliability and quality, but usually boring²

British cars: Great history and tradition, superb small manufacturers, no siginificant mass cars produced anymore (before the Landies jump on me, I am talking about non-off roaders [;)])

US cars: Nice sounding V8 and cool SUVs, most of the engineering has stayed behind

Korean cars: Great value for money, good quality but without personality and boring³ [:P]

Of course those are just some generalisations with many exceptions and lately cars become more global and their characteristics getting washed away, i.e. you see many unreliable German and interesting Japanese cars etc...

Cheers
