Saw a drift vid ages ago where the driver steers and pulls the handbrake, he had his gf in the passenger seat and she was animated as well.

I will try and find it, but wouldn't know where to look now.

What was she animated to do exactly? ;)

Found the potential original video of the drift car (or a facsimile thereof):

The girl appears to be just a static figurine, but the driver definitely moves! And a very nice Alfa Romeo touring car converted to a drifter can be spotted at the meet; the car has an interesting look.

Both are amazing projects - but is the Axial driver shifting gears, or pulling a handbrake?

Uh-oh... my brains started ticking! I feel a project coming on :)

I'm failure with using a Y link on the steering servo to run a 2nd servo and connecting the drivers head to it... So would it be possible to use a Y link on the ESC lead to make it work another servo and connect that to a gear lever maybe? You'd have to make an articulated arm but am I right in thinking it'd move forwards and backwards in relation to the amount of throttle input? Or would it the effect the ESC signal?

Sounds so simple I'm surprised I haven't seem it before so I'm wondering maybe there's more to it than that.
