Hi guys

Been away a while, still got a couple of RC (well, my boys have), Rising Storm and old Beetle...

Just got this little gem, its actually a Double Blaze, but I still call it a dagger

Looks to have bigger tyres, like clod buster maybe? Anyway, looks a bit of a beast, just needs some bigger shocks really :)

I have a feeling that those tyres are the same as I have on my 4x4x4 blackfoot . I'll dig it out of storeage and see if I can confirm

Lunchbox/willy tires?

I doubt they're those. They're probably 2.2s and also seem to be much more "fat" than any other tires I've seen before. I hope someone can help identifying these tires.

Yeah, they look similar. I just can't see any words or numbers on the Dagger's tires' walls up.

Think we'll have to wait for bromvw to give us more info about the tires ;)

Yeah there is nothing on the tyres at all. They look good though and make it anted on the ground. They are way too wide for the wheel but makes for a good off roader :)

Ok I have had a look . Mine are Kyosho and marked as 66/43X28. I have no idea what they originally came on . Maybe Dave 956 can tell us as I bought them from him ?

EDIT - Mud tires originally for the Tmaxx apparently . Their not the same as Lee's though . The V pattern cross's over in the middle more on these and I think their wider with a deeper tread . I do know that they work darn well and really shift the muck :D

Ill do a bit more digging tomorrow.

Just ordered some alloy shock towers and 100mm Traxxas oil shocks with uprated springs :) stuck a couple of silver cans in it i had knocking around as the 23T ones on a standard ESC werent that good. Goes better with silver cans in :)

Just standard silver cans now, its quick enough to have a laugh with, I'll probably stick some sport tuned motors in it...

In my last one, I had 2 19T motors and a no limit ESC, that was proper quick

Those tyres really do look good. The WR01 and WT01 trucks are great bashers, but IMNSHO look under-tyred in stock form. However you can't fit huge wheels and tyres without the risk of over-stressing the suspension and axles, which after all were originally designed for buggy-size wheels. The ones you have on there strike a good balance, bigger than stock, but not so big that they cause other parts to fail.

No matter what lid Tamiya puts on that chassis, it will always be a Dagger!

I was going to suggest that those tires are from the original Stampede, but they look bigger than that. I also don't think that the chevrons overlapped in the middle on the old Stampede tire.
