Greetings:

I am electing to attempt to sell my Tamiya Astute following some financial difficulties.

This car has been run three times, all on gravel. It features alloy D1 parts; a Super Astute battery holder; a Super Astute front brace; and Madcap front/rear suspension conversions. Electronically, the car is fitted with a Dynamite ECX1070 ESC, a Futaba entry-level servo, and a 26T silver-can brushed motor from HSP.

The sale of the chassis will include many tapping screws and metal bearings; two spare 77T spur gears (the buggy is currently fitted with a 23T/70T pinion/spur gear combination); a full Kamtec Astute body/wing/undertray set in a tri-colour scheme (as seen in photos); the electronics mentioned; and a complete new-in-box TTC gearbox upgrade, including the elusive polycarbonate gear cover.

Note that the metal bearings are mentioned; they are spares as the car is equipped with ball bearings on the wheels, hub carriers, and stock gearbox. I will also not consider offers for the TTC gearbox alone.

I am asking for $500 USD. This Astute is based in Canada; apparently there are issues with our local mail carriers dispatching shipped goods in a timely manner, but I will do my very best to make sure this car gets to you should you purchase it.

The unique circumstance is a shipping window: this sale will end on February 20th, 2014 - 11:59pm, EST. I have to end it by then since I return home next week on the 16th, to leave by the 21st. I can therefore only ship the car between February 16th to the 21st; otherwise another two months will have to pass before I can send it out. This same problem also prevents me from fulfilling any requests for photos until said dates.

Feel free to ask questions - the price is high because I am still very sad to see this car go... My goodness; I still remember when all I wanted was an 'Awesome!' 2WD ex-racer. But at this price, I would have no regrets about moving it on.

The few photos I have are below, but more are also available on my Tamiyaclub profile.

I had dreams with this car - hence, why I painted it up like my Avante Black Special:

I guess the only request I would make is for the new owner to run it using the provided body set, but obviously if it leaves my hands the owner can do whatever he or she well pleases...

Thank you for reading this listing!
