It's for sure highly modified RC cars would be excellent performers, but what amazes me the most is how they make small modifications to actually make pullers out of stock Tamiya cars

That is so cool! Always nice to see what people outside of TC do with their Tamiyas :)

Would love to attend something like that - looks really fun!

An event at the next TC meet :).

It would be easy enough to make a crude puller trailer - Just a solid driven axle on the back attached to a length of threaded rod, going through a captivated nut attached to the weight bed.

Well, I know I'd love to do some pulling with the cars. It would be awesome if you can try this in some TC meeting!

Too bad I won't be able to be there and participate, but would be great to see some photos.

Max both diffs on my Wild Dagger are already locked . All I would need to do is convert it back to normal front steering rather than four wheel steer , change the 35t crawler motors for something with more grunt and add some weight over the front end . Its very tempting :D

I'll make the Wild Dagger only rear motor.

Will mount 14T steel pinion gear with 55T motor, front Hornet wheels and tires and weight on front end.

4WD and 4WS are not necessary imho.

I think a stretched Hornet with a locked differential would really be a good base to start. But if you try to go professional you're bound to spend BIG money on custom parts.

Here's some nifty pulling sleds that are up for sale now on evilbay. Would love to have one myself. They don't seem to be too complex to make, only the mechanism would be the tricky part. I dunno, but somehow I am seeing myself using some aluminum parts. ;):D

Here's something...

You know you want that one off of the bay so you can have the "official pulling sled" ;-)

It's definitely not a complex build if you have the ability and materials.

Incredible - looks like the Monster Beetle really, well, is a monster!

I wonder how much torque the Bruiser has at the wheels in stock form and 1st gear...

You Should be able to work it quite easily if you know the gear ratio, and the torque of the motor.

I've got approx 340Kg/cm at the axles on my grapple skidder .......

Every time I see the title of this thread, I imagine myself driving along in a Tamiya Imprezza, with my arm out the window and music on loud, trying to 'pull' some ladies... :D

(sorry).

I can't find it but there was a YouTube video of a guy who ' pulled ' very good looking young lady on the beach using his RC Truck equipped with camera and two way sound coms . Well funny - beauty and the geek lol
