Here is a shot of my car out on a sunny day.

It is my daily driver and I enjoy the heck out of driving it.

Almost as fun as the Frogs.

Thank you NWarty.

Logged in via my laptop so I could get the full experience. Your vehicles are great, and so are the stories that go with them. Thank you for sharing. And thank you for serving our country, it is an honor to know you.

My pleasure and many thanks!

Beautiful pair of Frogs by the way ;)

I caught the Tamiya bug in 1985 when I was 10 years old living in Coral Springs with a friend's Grasshopper.

Pretty much same here, except it was 1984 and I was 12.

I had purchased a used Frog. I loved that car. It was rough, but that was ok.

My friends had a Hornet, a Grasshopper, and Blackfoot (I think that was the name).

They had the old MSC with the ceramic resistor that got hot as heck.

Great Frogs.

The Frog is one of my favourites of all time. Add softer rear shock springs and dial a little castor and it will be transformed into a well balanced buggy.

When I was 15 back in 84 I used to go to the local Toyworld store after school and the owner had a demo grasshopper that we used to play with out the back of the shop. Once I was hooked I put in an order for an Audi Quattro, but changed my mind to a Frog because I thought it would be able to go more places. Used the Frog until about 88 when my JR Circus 2 stopped working and it sat in my dads roof until recently. Now fully restored with re release parts, universals, esc, sport tuned, HD steering. Have a set of black hornet wheels on the way and a set of late model wheels to run with. I am still running the Circus 2 through the esc as I got it to work again.

The Frog is a true Tamiya legend, an absolute icon amongst their lineup. Personally I can't get enough of em in resto and build threads.

For its day of original release, quote a competitive ride also. Lovin The Frog!
